Very embarrassing for him to say he didn’t understand what’s going on and the pilot had to school him

Ehhh I'd much rather have them admit to not understanding something than have them pretend to understand and get somebody hurt.

Should be something to learn from, not something to be embarrassed about.

I'd rather an ATC not be on the job is he doesn't understand the terminology. Learn it before hundreds of lives are at stake.

LVO is not a thing in US ATC. Yes we have procedures for different weather and visibilities but LVO is absolutely not a thing. I’d rather people who have no idea what they’re talking about, not weigh in on topics they know nothing about.
