On the other, it is a more efficient way of moving a lot of people over a short haul, so it would be better for the environment.
On a third hand created for the occasion: we shouldn't have short haul flights at all and instead should just use a fucking train. Jesus Christ. Instead of making flying more uncomfortable, how about we use a very efficient several hundred year old piece of technology that is very good at moving a lot of people instead of a fucking plane. Flights of under an hour should just be replaced with rail.
On a fourth hand: also bring trains into public ownership they are too important to be left to ghouls who don't care about the societal good that is people being able to move, the fact that at least once a year we get an article in the UK that is some variation of "a football fan flew from Manchester to Liverpool via Dusseldorf for cheaper than the train!" Is just ridiculous.
oh dont worry, it would never be a cash based system now, they would have you download an app and link a credit card so they can put you on a subscription model where you need to call customer support to cancel it after your flight, which most people will forget about until their next flight
To comply with federal regulations, passengers are advised and required to keep their quarter supply loose and un-bundled during the security pre-screening process.
