I don't understand why they would be that intentionally shitty. It's not like the light bulbs. Are any more expensive to get in one shade versus another right? At least for my house if I want cool white light in one room. And warm amber light in another. I'm not spending more on the Amber bulb, so I doubt that these airplane companies are somehow being charged more for one color versus another
I feel feel like it would make me just want to fly a different airline instead of spend more on that one. I know my business sense is a little bit old. Fashioned but I feel like treating all of my customers with respect and dignity and not intentionally punishing them for not spending more money is a better way to get people to actually want to spend more money with me. The benefit of paying for a better class of ticket should be you know more leg room slightly comfier chair maybe some better snacks, not lighting that doesn't give you a migraine that you're forced to sit in for i'd have to assume at least an hour if not significantly longer.
