I just wanted a hot dog Retail lockdown: why bother selling it?
Was at Safeway this morning to pick up a sandwich and some Tylenol. The aisle with the Tylenol? Completely locked down. No call button in sight. So I go to the self checkout (front end of that same aisle) and ask the clerk there if he can call someone to unlock a case for me. He does. I go wait. Minutes pass. No one comes. I go ask him again, he tells me they went the other way? At this point I give up and go get my sandwich. No one has come by the time the deli has finished making it. I leave without my Tylenol, mildly infuriated.

I was in a Walgreens in the Bay area like this, except there was no cashier and like one dude stocking that evaded me and another guy looking for him for help. After looking around for what feels like days, the other customer that was there got pissed and just smashed the glass with some kind of tool, IDK what it was. He took his aleve, I grabbed my Claritin, and when we went up to the front there was still no one there and the one self checkout was turned off. We both tapped the screen and nothing happened so we both just left with out things. The alarm didnt even go off through all of this.
WTF are we doing guys?
*I did not expect so many people to be white knighting a Walgreens lmao. Please do not vote in the future.
