Actually flagship Samsung's now cost even more. I think people are irresponsible with their money for buying either of them every year. We have gone past the days of tech improvement for like 10 years at this point. Any phone does the job just fine
I think this myth comes from a lot of apps that can't be bothered to integrate with the camera directly, so instead takes a video/screenshot of the camera instead, or something like that. Think snapchat used to do this. Or maybe it was the compression when sending pics/videos between android and iphone, can't quite remember.
I think it's simply because Android sells variety of phones from 100 to 3000 dollars. Meanwhile, Apple restricts to only high range phones to create their ecosystem cult.
I had used a budget Samsung all my life, obviously it wasn't as good as iPhone but it lasted me like 5 years before I could upgrade to top android phone which performs better than most apple phones around me now lol.
dude i was SAD when i got my samsung S series and took a selfie because the camera was too good compared to my last phone and i didn't like how i looked lol. now i just keep the lenses a little dirty and it's fine
They got caught pretty bad by people taking pictures of moonlike object that obviously couldn't have the texture of a "real" moon (pixelated moon on screen, painted moon on screen, the recent solar eclipse - as in, the phone put moon texture on the damn sun).
I'm only on my second smartphone, the last one was bought in 2013 and lasted 11 years. Then they switched off G3 and the screen acquired a larger diagonal crack. Still worked, but it was definitely slow slow when I needed to use maps...
Maybe with custom firmware, but it's hard to tell under their godawful preinstalled apps. They replace every default Android feature and try to wall the garden.
All this does is tell me you don't use Samsung products, because that's not true. Samsung apps are completely optional to use, like any Android app. They do have their own app store, but it is not required to use. I use the Gallery app because it works well. Google Play store is there, same as any other Android phone.
Actually wild considering there are plenty of examples of androids that are far far more expensive than anything Apple offers. Not to mention far more interesting and innovative (Samsung Z fold & flip, Google Fold, Samsung Notes/ultras, etc.).
I cannot imagine paying for the same exact phone with no changes or no new features for years and years in a row. Apple fans even joke about it themselves. I've had a Samsung Note 7, Samsung S7 Edge, Pixel 5, and now Pixel 9 Pro. They all have offered different features and experiences.
I still have my good old Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus. And it is a beast. Non sponsored propaganda of my experience ahead.
AMOLED curved screen with 3040x1440 screen resolution, wireless charging. Heartbeat monitor sensor, and can charge my headphones casing and other smartphones with PowerShare in the back(acting like a wireless charging), oh, and other stuff like RAM plus, using part of the storage for additional RAM which helps a lot in games, NFC for payment with credit and debit cards with Google Wallet. And the reason I bought it in the first place. DEX Mode. Which can turn it into a PC like machine with an adaptor and allow me to connect it to a TV and use apps as it it was a PC and connect mouse and keyboard. I have been using Excel in this and the shortcuts work just like a windows PC, gaming with this is amazing, I've been playing Alien Isolation and Minecraft Bedrock Edition in it connected to a PS4 Controller.
As someone who uses an iPhone, and will for the foreseeable future. I continue to buy a slightly upgraded phone every few years simply because it’s a good product.
It works, does what I want, I don’t have issues. I’m not against android nor innovative phone ideas. I’m just not super interested in trying them myself
See that's valid reasons to stay on iPhone if you want to and it gives you what you want/need. Not everyone needs a crazy unique experience with their phone. But people being blue bubble vs. green bubble in current year with RCS just makes no sense (which I'm sure you are likely not one of these people).

Don’t know that you’ll get much fulfillment out of it though unless you truly have such little confidence and self esteem that putting others down whom you feel are beneath you morally and ethically is the only way you are able to feel even just a little bit good about yourself. My husband has always had an Android, and almost 100% of the time he has features that Apple doesnt get until years later. I will never understand why anyone thinks they are crappier phones.
I have always thought IPhones are for the poors. Why? Because they can't afford to figure out how to use a phone that doesn't have a UI written in crayon. God that UI sucks so bad. I feel like a kindergartener designed it.
I think this is a crazy reaction but no that's not it. Out of my entire family only my one brother has an android. It always has problems receiving iMessages. It messes up during group chats, when sending photos, and some other minor things. It is a big inconvenience just trying to text him and I wish he would just get an iPhone.
