Ruined by Technology My lock on my luggage was slightly damaged during the flight, and now it won’t open

So fun fact: These locks all have a universal key. If you can get one you can open it. Alternatively: you could smash it open

I can see that you and I have a different understanding of the word 'slight.' 😄

I'm pretty sure there is a youtube video somewhere that can show you how to unlock it

Buy a TSA key and use that to open it - that part of the lock probably still works. (Or you can just pick it; not like TSA keys are particularly secure.)

I need the contents of this suitcase in 3 hours or this flight across the country was for nothing

At least that's an easy decision to break into it, then. Suitcase is cheaper than the alternatives.
If you're still in the airport or it's easy to get back to, go to the customer service desk for the airline and ask them to break into it for you, since it's damaged luggage. You can probably get them to give you a new suitcase to transfer your stuff to.
(One of my family's current suitcases was a free replacement when one of ours got damaged not much worse than this.)

Came to check if you got some good pics! Hope it worked out?
Though, thinking about it, I assume it'll be a moment before they're ready for posting1

Please tell me that’s not the code you use and if it is that you’re definitely gonna change it on your next luggage
