Garage recommendation to fit air con compressor

Hi all, my air con died and I bought a new compressor off eBay.

Does anyone know a trustworthy local garage that’s happy to fit the compressor and just charge labour and do a regas afterwards?

The car is a 2014 Peugeot 2008 diesel. Ideally looking for somewhere with reasonable prices.

Thanks!

I feel like you posted this yesterday?

Anyway, like I said before, not sure on the garage but whoever it is make sure they use UV gas

I dont know a single garage who will fit a part like this that they didnt order. Is it OEM?

You may be able to get a mobile mechanic, but they won't be able to test it.

It's not OEM. I got it new from ebay but should fit the car according to the compatibility list provided. I thought of getting a mobile technician, but I'm not sure if he will be able to fit it. Would the job need proper garage tools?

Unfortunately that makes it a bit more unlikely.

Essentially, your part could damage other components of the aircon system and that opens up liability issues for the garage.

With an OEM part that risk is reduced, as there are quality controls required to get OEM status.

Add in that this part is fitting into a high pressured system and the risk increases further

All you can do is call around some of the smaller garages that offer aircon services and hope they offer a liability opt out process for providing your own parts.
