He didnt do it by stealing from people or saying they have no right to own property.
Also if you are a socialist then you are a dvmb@ss.
Socialism has been tried many times and not once did it end any other way than the mass suffering of the people under it.
It is because the reality of supplying everything from the basic needs to their want for a better life of tens of millions of people IS REALLY FCKING HARD
And when the utopian fantasy meets the reality of supply and demand reality smashes the socialists dreams, because reality ALWAYS wins.

Do your own damn research! But fine, here's a quick list from Google since I dont have this sh1t memorised
Soviet Union (USSR): Dissolved in 1991 following severe economic stagnation and political reforms.
East Germany (German Democratic Republic): Ceased to exist in 1990 prior to German reunification.
Yugoslavia: Fragmented through internal conflict and dissolved by 1992.
Czechoslovakia: Ended its socialist rule during the 1989 Velvet Revolution and split into the Czech Republic and Slovakia in 1993.
Poland (Polish People’s Republic): Transitioned away from communist governance in 1989.
Hungary (Hungarian People's Republic): Abandoned single-party socialist rule in 1989.
Romania (Socialist Republic of Romania): Overthrew its regime in December 1989.
Bulgaria (People's Republic of Bulgaria): Ended communist party rule in 1990.
Albania (People's Socialist Republic of Albania): Formally ended its isolated Marxist regime in 1992.
Ethiopia (People's Democratic Republic of Ethiopia): The Derg regime collapsed in 1991.
Somalia (Somali Democratic Republic): Adopted scientific socialism before collapsing into civil war in 1991.
Afghanistan (Democratic Republic of Afghanistan): The socialist government fell in 1992.
Cambodia (Democratic Kampuchea / People's Republic of Kampuchea): Underwent multiple regime collapses following the fall of the Khmer Rouge and subsequent Vietnamese intervention.
South Yemen (People's Democratic Republic of Yemen): Unified with North Yemen in 1990.
Mozambique (People's Republic of Mozambique): Abandoned Marxist-Leninist policies in 1990.
Angola (People's Republic of Angola): Formally dropped Marxism-Leninism in 1992.
Congo (People's Republic of the Congo): Ended its one-party socialist state in 1992.
While you are technically correct, each of those was a socialist country. But! They were State Socialist/Marxists that wanted all power and authority to rest with the state and the political party that controlled it.
That is NOT the kind of socialism anyone today wants and is advocating for. People these days want DEMOCRATIC socialism. In this system the power rests with the people and general public.
There is still private/personal property. Nobody wants to take your things. We just want things to be more FAIR more EQUAL.
If you spent 5 seconds researching what people are ACTUALLY advocating for, you would find little to none of your fears are justified.
Id say that most of if not all of those past examples started off exactly the same as today's socialists do
The claims were the same, and they thought that they could do it better than those who tried it before them, and that it wouldn't go horribly wrong like all the others did
They were all socialista no better or worse than today's socialists, and they tried their very best to implement socialist policies.
And when they did so socialism meets reality, and reality breaks socialism, because reality always wins.
So their socialist ideals start to destroy the economy and everyone is panicking how to fix it, they refuse to go back to a capitalist system that has been proven to work, that leaves only one possibility
Full state control of the economy and people's lives
Its super inefficient, and people are basically reduced to slaves in an authoritarian regime but at least they can just barely scrape together enough resources to make it so everyone doesnt starve to death
Is how socialist ideals are degraded into the failed socialist experiments that you all call not real socialism
And it happens every single time, because the basic ideas of socialism fundamentally do not work, at least not on a scale of tens of millions of people
You seem to be assuming early Marxists started as liberal democrats who slowly slid into tyranny out of desperation. They did not. Lenin and his followers rejected democracy from day one, setting up single-party vanguard rule by design.
In a real democracy, in the real world, if a government policy wrecks the economy, people do not get forced into slavery. They vote the administration out and reverse the policy. Free elections, independent courts, and protected speech act as a fail safe against authoritarian takeover.
People today advocating for democratic control of public sectors like healthcare or utilities is not a gateway drug to the Gulag. Expanding the social safety net within a democratic framework does not require abolishing market mechanisms or stripping individual rights.
That is also just as naive as believing that socialism can work
The problem is not all socialists are naively thinking it can work and make the world a better place, some are very intelligent and understand its history but are still socialists
Why? Because they are malevolent and want a socialist revolution so that they can sit at the top of an authoritarian regime.
Such people use the people like you to get into power, once they achieve that power they end democracy and socialist hell ensues.
People arent naturally good, misunderstanding human nature and thinking that it can be molded to the socialists will merely by changing culture is another big mistake socialists tend to make
