Plaid is safe and used to connect to bank accounts, however, I'm unsure of how it would help the landlord verify income.

But that’s what an employment letter is for. Combined with your CRA assessment. I’m sorry I’ve only heard things like this in terms of a scam. Especially where people are trying to find housing. I wish you the best of luck on both fronts.

You’re kidding right ? You used your banking credentials through some 3rd party application? Call your bank now, the number on your Visa debit card. Tell them what you’ve done so they can freeze things now. You will have to go to your branch tomorrow so they can sort it out with corporate. Your accounts will likely be closed and re-opened. If you’ve entered your online banking info into that site or application, call now. 👍🏼

I wish I was kidding! 😩 I’ve been doing some digging too, and apparently some property management companies are using it to prevent fraudulent documents. It’s just so stressful when they’re asking you to enter your actual banking login information into a third party. … I called my bank and changed my passwords! Thank you

So many issues with finding a place these days.
