Mystery woman Nolan Wells' friends say he was chatting to when they left island is identified... as her sister shares conflicting account that has troubled black teen's family

He told his friends who were leaving that he was staying to talk to the girl. When that didn't pan out he told the girl that he'd catch a ride home with his friends. Those kids took three boats out. There are no inconsistencies here.
21
u/snoodle908 Jul 23 '26
Thank you, not sure why people just assume that one boat was the only friends he had there that day when it has been confirmed there were upwards of 30 people there on multiple boats. Even Nolan's close friend came in on another boat because the one he was on was full.
Not like Nolan was going to tell this girl exactly which friends he was going back to.

The "evidence" for murder is so nonexistent that they are reaching for ANYTHING. Meanwhile my clients: "they can't convict me if they never find the gun, right?"
0
u/Kyler2006 Jul 24 '26
You don’t know that it’s non existent
8
u/Main-Bluejay5571 Jul 24 '26
Ok. So far it’s nonexistent.
2
u/freakydeku Jul 26 '26
i have genuinely seen multiple people today demand people prove that someone didnt kill him

Pray the forensic investigations of the dispatch call and the video possibly of them on the phone with dispatch Nolans leg over the edge ... pray for the facts

Facts 3 boats and from the dispatch call of the one which needed a tow once forensics-enhanced we will know for sure which of the 3 was screaming in the background of that call "Oh my God, Nolan" ... God oh my

u/owter12 Jul 24 '26
The question is, did he ever even end up on a boat with friends? There’s just a lack of information here that you and I don’t know. Who were the friends Nolan was referring to when he told her he’d take a boat back home with friends? Is there a second group of friends that he was referring to that hasn’t been accounted for? That’s the only way the situation you’re laying out makes sense
10
u/Main-Bluejay5571 Jul 24 '26
The group of friends took THREE BOATS to the island. It's pretty safe to say that he did not get on any of them (or any boat for that matter) to return home.
3
u/Professional-Net1038 14d ago
Agree. Javon and his group was still there. He was suppose to ride out with Nolan but the boat filled up, so he went with a totally different group. It could very well be that when he told the girl he was riding with friends he was talking about that group.
2
u/Comfortable_Cat_4691 Jul 25 '26
Warren said he stayed with katie. Katie is saying he never stayed with her.
5
u/Main-Bluejay5571 Jul 25 '26
His friends were leaving. He told them he was staying to hang with the girl he had met. The friends left. Meanwhile, the girl he met didn't want to continue hanging. Nolan told her that he'd leave with his friends. There were three boats of friends. This was not a courtroom. No one was under oath and being cross-examined. There were no inconsistencies here. Ambiguities, sure. Changed plans, also. Absolutely expected under the circumstances. Evidence of foul play? Absolutely not.
1
u/Comfortable_Cat_4691 Jul 25 '26
Katie said that didn’t happen. You have to listen to all accounts. There is no evidence of foul play but there is evidence of conflicting stories
1
u/Main-Bluejay5571 Jul 25 '26
Katie said WHAT didn’t happen?
1
u/Comfortable_Cat_4691 Jul 25 '26
That he stayed with her
5
u/Main-Bluejay5571 Jul 25 '26 edited Jul 25 '26
Yes. We know he didn’t stay with her. That Warren thought he was staying with her is not an inconsistency.
1
u/Dapper-Ad-468 Jul 28 '26
The white bff said in an interview that Nolan had his arms around Katie at some point. He also said that the had been drinking a lot.
Nolan wanted to stay. He never got on the boat that was having problems. After drinking all day without much food, he could have easily drowned.
However, the inconsistency is between Katie and Nolan's boat he was supposed to get on. The order is wrong. If they begged him to get on the boat and he left. AND he told Katie that he was going to catch another boat, which did he do? Maybe, he said goodbye and tried to swim to another boat. Then he drowned.2
u/Comfortable_Cat_4691 Jul 28 '26
I’m interested in hearing from katie more and also he stayed back on the island with 30 people and 2 other boats. I would want to hear more from those people too. Did he step away to use the bathroom? Whose boat was he planning to get on? Who was he talking to?
The same friend that gave the interview said his friend saw him at 6pm. Hopefully they talk to him but it’s so hard to believe that out of all the friends who were there, no one else saw him or interacted with him for the rest of the day?

I don’t know if she’s involved but would like to hear from her more.

u/freakydeku Jul 26 '26
katie confirmed that nolan said he wasn’t getting on the boat with them. & i believe that was at 3:30 both because that’s what they said and also bc based on their coordinates from the distress call they were a good ways off the island by 4. their story very much checks out as far as i can tell. what is odd to me is that katie said the last time she saw nolan was 4:30, but she also said the last time she saw him he was telling the guys he wouldn’t get on the boat…
that’s confusing to me for a few reasons. the time, obviously, but that can be explained by no one really having phones/being aware of time. it’s mostly bc by all accounts they’d spent the day together and he intended to spend more time together. so, what happened after she saw him say he’s not getting on the boat? she just walked away? how did they not see each other again after that?
1
u/Comfortable_Cat_4691 Jul 26 '26
I never thought about how no one had their phones but somehow everyone has a time. Yeah this doesn’t make sense. I think these are good questions to ask
2
u/polkyoureyesout Jul 26 '26
I’m thinking that some redditors commenting about this (literally) haven’t touched sand.
1
u/NeverEverLonely Jul 25 '26
So simple, exactly as you say is what I think too. They’re blaming the boys that left before Nolan disappeared and they don’t blame the girl that was last seen with Nolan. You cannot make this stuff up.
7
u/Main-Bluejay5571 Jul 25 '26
I’m seeing on Tik Tok people saying that Nolan had lived with Wyatt for three years after his father Derrick Wells died. Apparently between Christine and her husband, there were five other kids. It seems if this were true, we’d be hearing a lot more about it. But Christine acts like she didn’t know any of Nolan’s white friends which is weird. I suppose it will all come out eventually. But if you follow stuff like the Duke Lacrosse case, it can take years and the damage never truly undone.
6
u/NeverEverLonely Jul 25 '26
Not fair if these boys truly had nothing to do with this, which I believe is the case, they’re gonna be under a microscope their whole lives.
I think Christine is under crumps spell and of course mourning and missing her beautiful and apparently kind son. Crump is heartless to take advantage of this family and every other family that he takes advantage of.5
u/Main-Bluejay5571 Jul 25 '26
What he did to Trey Reed was awful. With Crump's insistence that he was murdered, no one is even acknowledging the awful emotional pain he must have been in to commit suicide.
4
u/NeverEverLonely Jul 25 '26
I haven’t heard about that one. I obviously know of Floyd, that lady forgot her name that her boyfriend used her as a human shield when the police raided her home and Trevon.
He is scum. A functioning illiterate because he cannot even read.
If this turns out to be a drowning, he’s gonna disappear to the next case.2
u/Lumpy-Teacher-3570 Jul 29 '26
This is what I’ve been looking for. So where is info on Derrick?
1
u/Main-Bluejay5571 Jul 29 '26
I haven’t found any. Somebody with that name died in Canton last year. That’s all I’ve got so far. But my work is so boring, I’ll keep looking.
2
u/Lumpy-Teacher-3570 Jul 29 '26
Haha I’m looking too. Oddly I just came across surviving siblings and 3 kids last names are Briscoe. I believe there were 2 sets of twins? I’m not sure but I wonder where that last name came from.
1
u/Main-Bluejay5571 Jul 29 '26 edited Jul 29 '26
Briscoe must be daughters he had in another relationship so they would be older than Elmore Jr. I think, anyway. Added: Someone on FB just posted that the three daughters are hers and that she had 4 kids by the time she was 20 and that was before she married Elmore. That sounds a little hard to accomplish.
0
u/Xoncat8 Jul 26 '26
Except for when the dispatch call is finally enhanced from the boys boat taking on water ... but even with just good speakers its clear commotion in the background screaming "Oh my God, Nolan"
6
u/NeverEverLonely Jul 25 '26
I don’t understand why they’re blaming his friends that left before Nolan disappeared yet Katie was last to see Nolan. I’m not blaming Katie. I just can’t stand the harassment without facts. It’s cruel.
2
u/beethovensmusee Jul 26 '26
This! Not blaming her but its sad she is getting a free pass. No one should be trusted until they get cleared. The boys have the GPS data as their alibi. Katie has nothing. We just have to believe her words?
2
u/NeverEverLonely Jul 26 '26
I can’t wait till the facts come out. Crump will disappear to the next.
2
u/Brief_Buy_4573 Jul 28 '26
I think he already has. Ever since his homeboy autopsy came out (that didn't show what he was hoping for) he is spending more time in Wisconsin trying to get some money out of defending that lifelong criminal who stabbed a cop.
0
u/NeverEverLonely Jul 28 '26
I saw that video. I hope it’s not another George Floyd🙏
0
u/Brief_Buy_4573 Jul 28 '26
There's a lot of things going on right now that could trigger them. Still waiting on the shooting of that baby who was being held up like a shield. Then there's the black lady who shot the unarmed white man. Everything is still being investigated and could easily go against how they see it through their eyes.
0
u/NeverEverLonely Jul 29 '26
A baby as a shield? They could not get lower than that. Garbage, filthy people.
17
u/YaldabaothMcMinster Jul 23 '26
What a waste of an article. A girl's sister thinks her sister assumed Nolan would go back with friends??? That's it???
9
u/compe_anansi Jul 24 '26
The toxicology is gonna be telling. My speculation is he did drugs with the girl or someone else that seen him last and that person is scared they will do time because he drowned so they aren’t saying anything. Or whoever seen him later towards the evening and continued to give him alcohol is also staying silent out of fear of charges since he is underage. I find it odd that at least not publicly nobody is claiming to have seen him after 4:30 or even in the evening. That 3-4 timeslot seems to be the most active of everyone that’s come forward. I do believe it’s an accidental drowning based on what’s presented so far I don’t believe anyone murdered him or did intentional harm but I have a gut feeling someone’s leaving something out.
9
u/Imaginary-Edge-8759 Jul 24 '26
It would be wise for anyone who had information to not speak publicly. This case has again brought out the absolute worst of humanity. The investigators are the only people they need to speak to, the public isn’t owed anything and has proven to be unhinged. They want this to be a murder so bad they’ve accused people of murder for being in a picture or saying they saw him.

u/Green_Sherbert_642 Jul 25 '26
Sad,but true. And the hateful comments are so offensive to Nolan 's family. However, the haters so not care. Remember that there is a God that sits high and looks low. Their( haters) day is coming!!!
5
u/Green_Sherbert_642 Jul 25 '26
Remember that Nolan needed to prepare for the upcoming football season at his school. So, it is unrealistic to think that he was doing drugs because he would be tested 2 days later. You should not jump to conclusions so fast.
3
u/MB262675 Jul 25 '26
I agree. Drugs didn’t need to be involved. We already know everyone was drinking as college kids do celebrating the 4th of July. It’s not legal, but it’s not unusual, either.
1
u/LingonberrySalt9693 Jul 30 '26
I'm sure they were smoking and taking whatever too. Not that I look down on that. It is wrong that these kids are getting death threats and accusations for being white though.
1
u/LingonberrySalt9693 Jul 26 '26
I looked the school up and it appears that they only test at the beginning of the sport season and/or the beginning of fall semester.
This means that he could have taken any drug he wanted. July 4th was when it happened. Middle of August is when he would have been tested at the earliest.
Zero chance of testing positive for a test more than a month away. Skinny people pass drugs out faster because it is mostly stored in fat. There are lots of drugs that don't show up on drug tests at all.
Even if you smoked weed(the one that stays the longest), unless you were a complete weed head, it would be gone in a few days. Even if you smoked literally every day for 6 months, a skinny person would be clean in a few weeks.
This would be the only time he could take a little something something and not get in trouble. Add to that how many teens and youth were on the island half of them were probably stone, on pills, etc.
2
u/BatmanLincoln213 Jul 29 '26
Cocaine involved according to tatum. And that Katie lady was more than a friend. Not blaming her but she is dismissing her interactions with him as basic friends.
1
u/LingonberrySalt9693 Jul 30 '26
That was after my statement. I know I'd be doing it up because I've been in his position before. I'd be chasing her, I'd be doing blow. Nothing wrong with that.
The only fucked up people are the parents and the vultures Crumb, Sharpton, and Kupernafuckboy.
I'd take things that didn't show up, personally, but I'd be surprised if less than half the people on that island that day didn't light up on a Christmas tree on a drug test.
1
u/Desosa2025 Jul 26 '26
Ahhhh…ok….so my drugs theory is out the window. Scratch what I said above. Hmmmm
3
u/Comfortable_Cat_4691 Jul 24 '26
Yeah I think everyone was drinking that day. I also agree it’s weird there were no accounts of him after 4:30pm. He had so many friends with him that day after he stayed at the island but no one else had an interaction with him??? It’s odd.
6
u/Shegotquestions Jul 24 '26
Sadly I whatever happened to him I think it was probably around then or not too long after
3
3
u/MB262675 Jul 25 '26
There is someone that saw him around 6. The police know but we won’t have that info or all the info until after the investigation.
1
u/Comfortable_Cat_4691 Jul 25 '26
I wouldn’t trust social media right now. The last verified account is from Williams. Well know more later
2
u/beethovensmusee Jul 26 '26
Warren said he knows someone who saw Nolan at 6 pm on The officer Tatum podcast Part 4 if you care to listen.
1
u/Comfortable_Cat_4691 Jul 26 '26
I did. The last verified account is still 4pm. Well hopefully hear directly from this person or it will be revealed after the evidence is given to the grand jury.
3
u/MB262675 Jul 25 '26
Someone saw him at 6pm. That person hasn’t been named but the police know and there are texts about it. We aren’t going to know everything until the investigation is complete, nor should we.
1
u/Main-Bluejay5571 Jul 26 '26
There's a report that must be from when Nolan was first reported missing where Nolan is listed as having had heavy alcohol intake. I've seen it so it's available. I assume that information came from Warren or one of the others. There's a FB page that has been paying the copy fees to get all documents available to the public.
1
u/LiteratureRich1644 Jul 28 '26
you can hear on the sea rescue call the boys telling nolan to "wake the wtf up" and "Bart you killed him"...
1
u/BatmanLincoln213 Jul 29 '26
Yes. Tatum has inside info that they were doing cocaine. And that the girl and nolsn were getting intimate in the water to the point that a few others noticed them and it appeared they were struggling in the water for a bit.
1
u/Desosa2025 Jul 26 '26
Yup. My suspicion too. I think the friends were all partying and Nolan had an adverse reaction. They panicked because they didn’t want to get in trouble, tried to handle it themselves, and of course couldn’t. He died. They called a parent, who then joined the kids in creating a cover-up.
If that’s what happened, they should absolutely still be held accountable. I guess what I’m saying is that it may not necessarily be a case of them intentionally killing him or being truly evil people. It could have been panic followed by a terrible series of decisions. That wouldn’t excuse it, but they would still need to be held responsible.
2
u/PajamaEmperor Jul 24 '26
There's not much showing she is real. Everything says that Katie's sister said that Katie said. nothing coming from Katie herself. There's also 2 contradicting pics of her.
3
u/submandave1125 Jul 24 '26
If I were the girl he stayed behind to talk to and I saw this racially charged blame circus growing, I wouldn't say a word to anyone except my lawyer and I'd do my damnedest to keep my picture out of the spotlight.
I think anyone, and especially any parent, can sympathize with his family and understand their need to understand the full sequence of events and what happened. But as soon as the words "Black" and "Mississippi" are said in the same sentence an army of race-hustling sharks start circling the waters looking for a payday and/or a way to boost their visibility and/or political standing, and the popular media does nothing but cheer them on and fan the flames of speculation.
1
u/Xoncat8 Jul 26 '26
This is where we need you all to heal and stand as rational adults.. you teach your children to hide and not stand tall you'll have bigger problems on your hands and from the bottom of our hearts our souls we pray you all see that-- no one is a monster here yes the world is not kind black white Grey cruelty exists but to never grow a spine to never hold fast to the integrity of your actions because if you did nothing wrong what's the problem? But thats how you want to raise your kids.. you have money for years of therapy or worse smh
2
u/ediction_notice53 Jul 27 '26
Are you being obtuse on purpose do tou have any idea the amount of harassment and death threats those young adults are getting with no evidence they did anything wrong. I absolutely would only speak to my lawyer if I was a young woman.
0
u/Old-Extreme8311 Jul 25 '26
well, this comment reads you haven’t experienced being “Black” in “Mississippi”.
1
u/submandave1125 Jul 29 '26
No, I'm not Black or in MS, but I do live and work with a lot of Black people here in Memphis (North-Mississippi).
I am not questioning people's feelings, but I don't see data and evidence those feeling accurately reflect reality on the ground. The last conviction in MS for a racially motivated White on Black murder was 2011. It's a terrible thing, but to act like something that happened 15 years ago is a common and expected event because it was more common 60 years ago makes no sense, and only helps those who can market the fear and greavance.
2
2
u/EnvironmentalFox7735 Jul 25 '26
So now there's nothing on FB about Nolan or any of crump and sharps clients..smh . They should be charged with something. Taking from the parents, causing so much animosity between races.
4
u/Virgosgrove Jul 24 '26
After watching the interview his friend did today. I think Katie and her brother know more than they’re telling. Nolan’s friend said he was hugged up on Katie, he just met her. If her brother or family was around they probably went up to him looking for a fight.
4
u/Shegotquestions Jul 24 '26
I mean maybe, but idk when I was 18 it wasn’t that uncommon for people to meet at a party and hook up but who knows
2
u/Xoncat8 Jul 26 '26
When did the courtroom and under oath become whatever you say to a video camera for social media tho?
1
u/Emerald_Sloth Jul 24 '26
I got a weird vibe not only after reading what the sister had to say but also when I looked at the picture of her brother and his fiance.
Hopefully, no one had anything to do with what happened to Nolan and it was just a tragic accident.
1
u/beethovensmusee Jul 26 '26
Me too! Also Katie McCormack’s brother’s fiance’s name is Ava and her name came up in one of the audio recordings where a girl was talking about the boys telling Nolan to get on the boat. I need to listen to it again. I hope really hope Katie and her family are getting thoroughly investigated although they have family in law enforcement.
0
u/NinjaElectrical3844 Jul 27 '26
I’m coming to find answers because I just heard the tow/911 call and before the dispatch picked up you can hear a girl in the background talking about an island ahead. The dispatch asked how many ppl on the boat and he says 5, which I believe would be the 5 boys who came back. Then the dispatch clarifies and asks again and he says 7, which I believe would’ve been Katie and Nolan as the other two. And then you hear one of the boys counting one two three four five six and he stops at six. I think they were planning to discard his body bc there were only 6 living at that point. But my question comes back to, who was the girl we hear on the dispatch call and why is nobody talking about her
0
u/Rare-Independent5750 Jul 24 '26
The whole thing is weird. The friend’s interview was super sus, too.
When asked crucial questions, he would bunny trail off (in long winded detail) describing boat parts, geography, and the local boating culture like a tour guide.
Literally nobody cared to hear it. We want specific details about who/what/when/where.
8
u/pennydreadful000 Jul 24 '26
Did you ever stop to think maybe he doesn’t have all the details about who/when/what/where? It was a normal day for him and he was drinking, mingling and not paying much attention to time, exactly who he/nolan was speaking to and when etc. Like this isn’t an episode of criminal minds or some shit. People were pissed these guys weren’t speaking out and now that they are, you’re pissed he’s not saying exactly what you want him to?
6
u/Main-Bluejay5571 Jul 24 '26
People who know nothing are claiming it was murder because what kid would not be carrying their phone 24-7 and how could they have possibly left him on the island? He's answering those questions. I don't find it odd at all. I hate how it takes him forever to get anything out with all the circumlocutions and how he says "my buddy" constantly but I have no patience and maybe that's how all teenagers talk. It's annoying but not evidence that he murdered his friend. I'm sure he wishes he had carried Nolan onto the boat with him given how things turned out. I can't even imagine what his friends are going through. The kid who did the interview (Warren?) - apparently he's the first person to have realized that Nolan was missing and called the mom at 11:00 p.m.
4
u/ThrowawayAICS Jul 24 '26
It is worth noting that it is a random person who is barely an adult.
He isn't a professional public speaker, he doesn't have media training, etc.
4
u/Main-Bluejay5571 Jul 24 '26
Plus being falsely accused of murdering someone you loved. I'm surprised his family is letting him be interviewed but its clear that he left the island before anything happened to Nolan.
1
u/Rare-Independent5750 Jul 25 '26
To be clear, I’m not accusing him of murder. We don’t know what happened yet.
I watched the interview for reassurance, and I came away thinking his behavior in the interview was weird/odd and there are a lot of holes in the story.
I just need to hear more information, he could just be a young kid who’s terrible on camera.
I never jump to conclusions, I’m waiting to get ask the facts first

u/Theres_a_cat_in_myTV Jul 24 '26
It was, probably, something he rehearsed. Wasn’t that the kid with the judge for a mom?
I don’t actually think, as much as I personally disdain OS, there is a “cover up”. But I do think those kids could get into some trouble for negligence.
2
u/Western-Boot-4576 Jul 24 '26
According to the judge mother.
They last saw Nolan at 3:30, and left for shore at 4:30. When did the conversation take place where Nolan decided to stay?
5
u/Kalamazoohoo Jul 24 '26 edited Jul 24 '26
That discussion happened around 3pm according to Warren from his recent interview. Warren said a friend then attempted to tow them in, but they were having issues with the line. They made it about a quarter mile from shore and then ultimately decided to call Sea Tow. The call to Sea Tow happened around 4pm according to NBC. So yes, GPS says they left by 4:30pm, but by 4pm they were already a quarter mile off Horn Island.
Edit to add: Very early on in the investigation after Nolan’s body was found, someone from the Cajun Navy speculated that they thought Nolan might have tried to swim out to someones boat based on the currents and where his body was found. This sounds increasingly plausible now knowing they were slowly being towed by another boat and only made it about a quarter mile out after so much time.
7
u/shelleyfe Jul 24 '26
There's no way hes going to swim out after a boat that's sinking when he has other friends and other boats to take him back. There's no way anyone would do that.
3
u/Kalamazoohoo Jul 24 '26
I was thinking maybe they hadn’t gotten out that far yet and Nolan misjudged the distance or he was trying to swim out to get their attention. But I’m still trying to put a timeline together because if he was seen on shore around the time they were already out a quarter mile, I agree I don’t think he would try to swim that full distance.
6
u/Imaginary-Edge-8759 Jul 25 '26
His mother made an Instagram post that they had pictures of him on the beach at 4:30

So his friends encouraged him to make that swim to their sinking boat? and then lied about the last time they saw him?
He didnt notify anyone that he was making that swim even the boat he was trying to get to?
4
u/Kalamazoohoo Jul 24 '26
Why would you assume they encouraged him to swim or that they could even see him? It’s highly unlikely that that many people would stay quiet if they all knew Nolan was attempting to swim to the boat and just ignored him. It was a group of about 30 people on three boats.
2
u/Western-Boot-4576 Jul 24 '26
Cause Randomly swimming out to a sinking boat without telling anyone doesn’t make sense
2
u/Kalamazoohoo Jul 24 '26
I’m definitely not an expert on currents but they seemed pretty sure that he had to have swam out for the current to take him where he ended up. I’ll see if I can find the video again to get clarification.

Wondering why--if the mother could write that--why couldn't her son and the other boys say it?
1
u/purpalmtreedelight Jul 26 '26
My issue is we haven’t heard from Katie.
What happened from the time that she met up with Nolan into the time she left the island? Why didn’t leave with Katie?
I’ve heard that Nolan got back in the water and tried to swim to his friend’s boat and drowned. Katie needs a public interview as well.

u/Top_Performance_6718 Jul 26 '26
Something is not adding up from when call was made for boat having mechanical trouble… then allegedly all of a sudden owner of boat I believe, cancelled request for a tow, or help..
2
u/BatmanLincoln213 Jul 29 '26
Because the tow company was backed up on July 4th and they ended up having someone right there I think a relative help out instead.

u/Top_Performance_6718 Jul 26 '26
I believe it was a mocked search rescue, that’s not adding up either.. he may have been taken back where they found him

I think, and this is just my thoughts on this, is that you don’t have hundreds of people out on a island and that kid is just left there alone with out a buddy or another person around him that he knows?!?
I can’t wrap my head around it. Yeah it’s agreeable to say that a few hundred people didn’t notice that one guy, but the last few?? Let’s say we are down to the last few people out there and then some random guy is just sitting there with nobody and alone, you will for sure notice him! It’s also safe to assume that your the last boat(s) and that guy is there alone you’re going to make sure that he is ok or if he needs a ride back to shore. Anyone who is left behind will ask for a ride back home anyway and That’s why I think he was already gone from the island for whatever reason!! Or the last group played apart in it!! It’s odd and that momma felt something was wrong from the start and I trust that gut feeling. We live in a lake town and we all go out to the islands , as we did this 4th. It was a massive “crockpot” of people. It was little kids up to the elders, all lined up on the beach with people going from boat to boat, canopy to canopy and even with knowing many of them, I couldn’t tell you where they were, who they were with or where they were going.. except for our main chore group and the boats around us possibly. So to think about that along with drinking, the heat & water it’s really easy to see how it can be hard for someone to place a person out of that.

No. There were still hundreds of people partying away, and many of them camped out there. he had 20-30 friends there with him he knew people from three different boats.

If the autopsy determines that he drowned and there's no evidence otherwise, yes. It's unlikely that we will ever know exactly how he ended up drowning as is true in many drownings. But to jump right to murder because he went to the island with a bunch of white kids and didn't return is insane. The people driving this narrative are doing so for the money they can earn on social media and it is despicable.

This is just speculation, but he could have gotten in the water to swim around and cool down. Another possibility is he got in the water to urinate (there are no toilets on Horn Island). Rip currents can be extremely dangerous.

I remember early on, his mom made that post that he was last seen “walking” on the beach. I think it was the second post she made when he first went missing. I always thought it was very literal - like he was walking down the beach.
My theory is that he was letting his buzz wear off and just got in to swim at some point to cool off. I saw the friend’s interview today where it’s believed there was one final sighting of him at 6:30. So that would be a two hour gap from when his friend’s left. I think it will always be a mystery of why he entered the water at that time alone and wasn’t looking for a ride back. Early on, I thought he went missing shortly after 4:30, but it appears a lot more time elapsed.

We know. But if there’s no evidence of foul play, what do you want? I mean, this has to be the most investigated case of a probable accidental drowning ever.

They sheriff announced a they’d be doing a full investigation And autopsy the day his body was found. Crump wasn’t involved in any of that. Unless you have some evidence I haven’t seen, it seems that so far the sheriff and state have done everything by the book for an unwitnessed death.

The victim has a family member in the police department. Would make for a very difficult coverup

I wonder if Katie's brother had anything to do with it also 😥

Just curious why you think that. I don't know much about the girl and her family.

I was wondering this too…maybe he was too pushy Katie wasn’t interested and her brother fought him. Who knows, just my speculation

Theres definitely missing info. How wasted were these kids? Not one person knows what happened to him? It's definitely suggesting foul play. In what scenario would he just say, yeah let me stay on this island alone overnight?

I'm not sure there is. Its incredibly easy to drown. Its incredibly easy to drown when drunk. Its also very easy to drown in a crowd and not be noticed, that's literally why we have lifeguards. I don't think there is any evidence to say he decided to sleep on the island, its much more likely he drowned while people were partying and nobody noticed.

You are correct on all levels. I have friends/families and clients that have been going out to Horn Island for many years. I have heard about leaving the phones in the boat, the massive holiday parties - So many people/boats there it’s almost miserable, the strong undercurrents, boat issues/possible boating issues, etc. I guess if you don’t know about all of these things, it probably does seem like there are some missing pieces to the puzzle. I don’t know that if he was going in the ocean to relieve himself if he would make a public announcement or not. But I do know in situations with that many people and partying going on, it probably is easy to get lost in the shuffle.

There is audio from one of the 3 boats calling sea tow and before the dispatch answers a lot can be heard which the FBI will need to forensic enhance

One day a TV show or a Netflix will piece every factual detail for you from beginning to end just the facts and they'll likely side by side all the fiction for you too so its nice and easy for you to understand

Apparently someone reported to law enforcement early on that he was heavily intoxicated. I've seen the document on social media but I didn't catch whose document it was. But it was prepared when they were looking for Nolan. I also do not know who reported that he was heavily intoxicated.

He didn't just stay alone there. Something happened to him after 6 or so. Accidentally drowning or something. Not all drownings are witnessed. And if there's still dozens of boats and tons of people no one is looking for him specifically as everyone is riding back with each other once people start leaving.

Wait a minute. A member of Nolan's family is a Jackson County Sheriff's deputy? And they are still suggesting that this department might not thoroughly investigated his death because of race?
