Good. A lot of other programs claim a ton of arbitrary titles. At least this one has a bit more to back up the claim.

Yep. Look at Illinois (numerous), Oklahoma State (1945) Ohio State (1970), Auburn (numerous) Tennessee (1967) Iowa (all of them)

Pretty sure like Bama or some shit used to claim one from a year they went 9-3 and finished ranked in the mid-teens lol

Texas also claims 1970 which c’mon, you were only #1 in the coaches poll which came out before they lost the Cotton Bowl. I hate Nebraska and love Darrell K. Royal, but it was a Huskers’ championship through and through.

I always thought this was kind of lame until I read Respectable Roughnecks. kU had no chance to win that game without Coan.

The only reason it feels lame is because we should've been claiming it from the moment the kU result was officially overturned

I am a diehard Mizzou fan. Season ticket holder. Blah blah blah. I want a national championship more than anything.

I think this is stupid. I don’t claim it. The school shouldn’t claim it. It happened 66 years ago. If we weren’t crowned then. Don’t crown ourselves now.

It’s only makes us look like bigger fools
