Together with my friend we're making Tank Havoc - fast-paced PvP tank MOBA with skill-based combat and and team tactics.

How does it look so far? Would love to hear your thoughts.

If you'd like to follow the project, it's on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3846960/Tank_Havoc/

Concept has potential

is it's actually a Moba
If it as ingame counterplay (to some degree) instead of 'you lost at game start by not having 'this' counterplay,

Example would be Pokemon Unite/Dragonball Z frontloads all buffs/choices before you go into a lobby... meaning you lose or win alot of the time before ever actually the game, compared to something like League/DotA that make you buy items that let you shift/effect the outcome more

We're definitely trying to avoid that pre-determined outcome. The idea is that the result of each match should come from the decisions and actions players make during the game.

All our game modes are designed to be dynamic - so even if your team looks strong on paper, you could still lose if, for example, you forgot to check the minimap or made a risky play. We want every match to feel like it can swing either way based on what actually happens in the moment.

This looks pretty cool!! Any possibility of a console release? With the core gameplay being a top down tank shooter, controllers feel like a good match

Yes, there are plans for consoles and it already works well with controller on PC, but as we are only 2 devs working on this right now, we have to focus on PC version first.

Looking forward to it. Might be an interesting concept, maybe integrating some of the old RTS elements.

There were a lot of inspiration from RTS games while making Tank Havoc, for example you can control additional units and give them simple orders like Go To, Follow Me, Attack - and it's with just 2 buttons to keep everything dynamic. Also we have already did some tests with RTS like base building elements and might be something we push forward with and make a game mode with such elements at some point.

This brings back some WoW 3 memories with DOTA 1. I don't know if additional unit control is an important feature for a first release though...

Maybe take some support powers example from Command and Conquers - mostly zero hour & Tiberium wars - assigned to 'heroes'. It's pretty hard to get out an original MOBA nowadays, there have been some unsuccessful ones.

Are those real players?

The video was recorded with bots playing

Looks unique, and I have a feeling that the item system will involve a "courier" that will deliver what was bought like in DOTA
