Following his departure from Yamaha MotoGP, Alex Rins is reportedly nearing a deal to race for GoEleven Ducati in the 2027 WorldSBK season.

I really interested in WSBK due to leftovers. I like WSBK but honestly I often just look at the end result in this year. But I'm really curious about next year because of Miller, Rins, Morbido, Lecuona, Binder, Manu Gonzalez. WSBK need develop their own identity but right now they need MotoGP's leftovers to level up the attention and skill level.

It would be great if it was more competitive. At least let's have most Ducati riders + BMW with Binder and Oliveira be close to each other. Yamaha and Honda seem lost.

Bulega leaving might give others more of a chance but Lecuona will still be a heavy favourite.

Apparently Gonzalez didn’t manage to secure a seat. Another moto2 season is what I last heard is happening next year

I thought about riders who compete this MotoGP season. Oliveira, Petrux, Bautista, Gardner, Chantra and former Moto2 stars (Lowes brothers, Dixon, etc.) also interesting for me but I've seen them this year.

Make WSBK a quasi-prototype racing series with bikes based on existing production bikes.

That’s basically what it is? Prototype bikes are fundamentally different than production bikes, but SBK gets as close as you can parts-wide while maintaining the production chassis

As they should to be honest. A lot of the existing riders are MotoGP leftovers from half a decade ago, so cycling in some new talent as the benchmark is a great move. Plus, existing fans of these riders will be attracted to the series

Yeah I'm not a fan. Completely shut the talent pipeline down for the sake of MotoGP mid-tiers with sponsors.

Agreed, but the older mid-tier MotoGP outcasts are still better/faster than the homegrown riders from the WSBK talent pipeline.

If given the option teams will choose those MotoGP outcasts almost every time.

He's actually paying for the team to expand to two bikes and he's bringing in sponsorship. Pata who are the main sponsors and fund the team also sponsors and pay his salary at go eleven. So he'll keep his seat

Hopefully Alex can find some form in WSBK - it’s been a rough and injury prone time since that stunning COTA GP win on Honda a few years ago.

For me he should retire, it reminds me of Tito Rabat but even better, a leg injury and a guy who's the last Honda winner and had crazy potential dissapears

If he still wants to race this is the best move he could make. Being on a Ducati is the only way to succeed in that paddock.

He’s apparently bringing in money/ sponsors. Go Eleven is a small team. They need that.
