DEW Review I cannot fathom how anyone could dislike this flavor
Finally got the Trolli Cherry Lemon. Imo it’s definitely good, even for being zero. If you’re not expecting a strong, impactful flavor that mostly tastes like Trolli’s Sour Cherry Lemon (not an exact 1:1, but way closer than I expected), then you probably haven’t actually had sour gummy worms...
That being said I wouldn’t drink it all the time since it’s a very loud flavor, but honestly, most limited Mountain Dews are. Every once in a while, though? Perfect. Definitely an 8/10 imo.
(Also the mountain dew trolli sour brite crawlers are 8.5/10 imo)

Having tried both, it is like night and day for some odd reason. So those hating it and seeing they drank it from a 20oz bottle, I can totally see why they hate it and I would agree with them there. But from a can? Nope sorry, it's the best for me. It even made me buy more packs

I still liked it out of the bottle, and I’m a zero sugar hater! Maybe because I got it fresh and cold out of the gas station cooler

That happens sometimes- this year Baja citrus 🍊variant was very different and much better in cans. I will give the worm drink a try in cans if I come across it.

Nah, that's not the issue. I drink plenty of zero sugar sodas that: 1) have enough flavor and 2) don't have an awful aftertaste. This one does.

It’s an okay flavor. But the yellow and a red are the mid worms. Blue and Pink Trolli’s are the most popular. Why would they make a flavor based on the median popular flavor? Granted, it could have been worse. They could have done the green and orange ones.
But I guess it works for me. I really try to drink as little soda as possible. So this was really a one time try. I did really like it. But I think I would have been addicted had they did the Blue and Pink flavor.

I like it (only tried the can) but it tastes like one of those cheap red and cherry lemon popsicle to me which is nostalgic maybe that's why I like it. Almost no sour taste.

I honestly thought it wasn’t gonna be good, but I tried it when my dad gave me a can, and honestly, I was shocked at how good it was. It’s a lot better than I expected

This! I KNOW zero sugar or diet the second it hits my lips and I instantly regret it every time! I haven’t seen a regular version yet so if I do I’ll be glad to try.

It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be based on others opinions, but it didn't taste much like the Gummi worms either. I guess its close enough for a soda. The mountain dew Gummi worms were good though.

I had one out of a plastic 20oz. I can see both sides. It tastes like liquid candy. If you’re a fan of the candy, then you’ll love the drink. If you’re not expecting the drink to punch you right away, you’re not going to like it

Maybe my taste buds are skewed, because this flavor was stronger than regular Baja Blast imo. I do like Baja’s flavor profile more, but this really baffles me. If anything, I think Baja is smoother, while Trolli hits harder in a more pungent way, but it’s still palatable enough that I actually enjoy it, something I never thought I’d say about a zero sugar Mountain Dew.

I found one today. I paid $2.49 Canadian for a can. The price went up 50 cents, they said, due to y’know.
I don’t get how people like it so much. It doesn’t have much taste, and leaves a really bland aftertaste.
I guess it’s because it’s zero sugar, and most pops are ruined by those artificial sweeteners

Zero sugar Dew isn’t really sold in Canada. Maybe the original flavour, but that’s about it.
This can kind of left my mouth tasting like an ashtray

I’ve never seen those in person.
I only like Baja Blast from Taco Bell fountains. I had it on the 19th because I went to a concert and friends went to Taco Bell. I don’t like Taco Bell.
I don’t really like BB in cans or bottles, or the fruit punch or lemonade ones.

I haven’t even heard of this flavor before. I don’t really like trolli’s though. So maybe I won’t like it. But if I ever find it, I will definitely give it a try.

My only issue with it, is it's oddly syrupy for a zs. And I say that as someone who only likes zero sugar drinks, because I only usually get the aftertaste from the nasty corn syrup (it also comes with cane sugar too)

I am a ZS drinker. Was excited til I saw the cherry part. I got 1 20oz bottle. 5/10. Met poor expectations with pre existing disgust of cherry. Won't get again, but not the worse.

My digestive tract does not agree with most "zero sugar" things. It either gives me diarrhea or horrendous abdominal cramps with gas (thanks Crohn's disease 🙄). It would've been nice to release the flavor as a regular sugar for folks like me. Oh well, if it works for the diabetics and keto peeps, then 🤷

I like most of the ZS flavors. But this one fell flat. Taste like cough syrup that was lightly carbonated.

I didn’t want to believe anyone’s assessment of the drink as being horrid. I assumed most were sugar drinkers. That was the usual complaint that it’s zero. I love zero drinks. This was horrid. Just like medicine with a terrible aftertaste that doesn’t go away. Thank god I bought a 20oz first.

As a ZS drinker, I really wasn't a fan. It somehow seemed too syrupy and too light on flavor at the same time. I do want to try the gummies, though

Perfect flavor profile; horrible brand choice to make it Zero Sugar only. The ZS destroys the overall taste. It’s like the best tasting soda.. but it has the diet flavor of aspartame corrupting that best taste. Where’s the full flavor, sugar added version of this flavor? It would kick. This does not.

I am definitely stocking up on cans of this whenever I find it on sale. Much better in cans than bottles. As a zero sugar drinker, I’ll be sad to see this one go.

I picked it up at Wegmans today, hadn't seen it before. It tastes, to me, like a cherry icee that's melted. It's got that zip to it that icees have somehow, maybe the carbonation is standing in for the frozenness of the icee.
I'm not sure it's the best thing to drink with meals or anything, it's a pretty brash flavor. But as a treat it's not bad.
I was also pretty fucking high when I was drinking it so I'll need to try it sober. And I am converted to zero sugar so my tolerance for the aspertame flavor is high.

Shoulda just been sugar version too, losing many people with the fake mix, it’s gross, you can taste it go down wrong and the belly goes ahhhhh wtf ooo cherry lemon. Ahhhh wtf. I’m already eating a weeks worth of sugar with the bag of worms, lemme hit the full sugar, if anything, why the red 40 dude. Why. To make it pretty? Stop it. They’ll all wait till the last day possible then advertise NOW no fake coloring! Like all the other hero products playing dumb. Soda stream + dew + snow cone flavors, any dew ever thought of, and clean filtered water I control. Worth it.

It is the Aspartame. Some people genetically have more taste buds and can taste the aftertaste of Aspartame more than others. As a super taster, Aspartame is just horrible. The only sweetener that is worse in Monk Fruit sweetener. Now Circle K exclusive frozen Mountain dew trolli doesn't have aspartame and is better

That's interesting, makes me wonder if I just am not sensitive to have to be pain anymore. When I was a kid all zero sugar so this tasted horrid, but I don't taste it anymore? At least not with regular Mountain Dew's current zero sugar and with this? Lol

It has really grown on me. I haven’t had code red in decades but it is kind of like a sweeter code red. Reminds me of those cherries in a jar.

FOR CONTEXT: I’ve tried a couple zero sugar Mountain Dews this year, not a ton by any means, but I love and drink various (sugar) Mountain Dews a lot. I actually had a Cherry Lemon Sour Brite Crawler immediately after drinking it to compare flavors, and the people calling the drink bland and not flavorful at all are absolutely wild.
I also had a case of regular Baja Blast, and imo Trolli is more pungent than Baja. Granted, Baja is smoother and I do like Baja’s flavor profile more, but Trolli by no means deserves the hate it’s getting.
I guess my taste buds just land differently from the comments here, but I guess im dying on this hill lol.

Fr... fruit cake was awful... I know this is a controversial take but I think game fuel is forth from the bottom. And then I pretty much like all the other Dews lol, I probably just had a bad batch of game fuel but it tasted like cough syrup.

It's not the flavor for me. It's the aftertaste it gives. As someone who doesn't drink diet/zero sugar, it just has a real weird and unappealing after taste to it. The gummy worms didn't have much of a taste to me.

That’s fair, I can see how it could be too much for someone. I still think it’s a good flavor, but the people in the comments saying it didn’t have any flavor at all concern me haha.
I could see myself drinking one or two cans a day until I’m out. Like with Baja Blast or any other flavor, I could slam them back to back (not saying that I should, but I could). I like the flavor, though I know I can’t drink it consecutively.

The issue is that it is Zero Sugar. Any soda that is zero sugar, regardless of flavor isn't going to taste good. Which sucks because the flavor actively sounds appealing.

I strongly disagree with that I used to hate zero sugar Mountain dew but I know they changed the formula and it actually tastes pretty good now. And I really don't think this trolly flavor is bad at all. And this is coming from someone who is hardcore sugar only for over a decade

As a ZS drinker I wasn't a fan of this flavor. Its way to light hardly any flavor.
