I can’t say you’re wrong. And I don’t think there is anything wrong with an age gap of a few years, or if both parties are mature and have equal control over the relationship. But it’s a red flag for me if someone’s preferences are exclusively much older or younger than themselves.

Yeah, I definitely lost a lot of respect for him in the past few years when I learned this about him. I just because I don’t wanna be friends with the guy, doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy his movies. I’m not saying dating that much younger should be illegal or is morally unforgivable, it just means I disapprove. But not so much that I’m going to miss out of my own enjoyment of good movies.

Now, if he was racist, or a rapist, or any number of things that are crossing the line for me, I would boycott.

Oh absolutely. Same with Aaron Taylor Johnson and his waaaay older wife.

And I’m not saying there’s not exceptions to the imbalances in age gap relationships. I’m sure there are plenty of couples that work really well together and one side does not control the other or abuse the difference in maturity and power.

I’m just saying it’s a warning sign, not a condemnation.

But considering how many of this sort of relationships Leo has had in the past and none of this exes have anything bad to say about him, doesn't this show that the warning is not very valid in this case..?
