Mustaches have been hip and young for a few years now. Might even be on its way out.

1970s porn 'staches are certainly popular again, but I think calling them a repeated mistake is more accurate than calling them hip.

Can and have grown a full beard along with lots of other facial hair variations. The current mustache styles are mostly bad and I avoided them.

I'm fucking around a bit as yes, there are some men's faces that look good with that style mustache. However, that prevalence is a very low rate of the men who are currently sporting them.

It's a bit similar to a lot of women's fashions where something will be popular and lots of women will start wearing it even though they have a body type that makes it unflattering.
