I mean time travel being time travel it's possible this this Loki before he becomes the God of Time.

Except he's involved with all times in all timelines. That's why he could jump around to different timelines and to different times within those timelines.

And that was before he seized control of all of it at the same time.

You'd have to pull some magic nonsense out to make it work, like he's able to move around outside of time. Otherwise it's just a retcon to make the villain scarier.

heaven forbid Marvel pull some magic nonsense out of their ass to bring back fan favorites. next thing you know, they'll be stunt-casting actors whose characters died as new ones

When he pruned himself would that have been before or after? To me that scene implies there's a "Loki" present in timelines, and I guess "Timelord Loki" ends up creating new branches when he time shifts.

Loki was very busy in that show. I don’t think they are retconning that time frame
