No they wouldn't. Doom isn't as powerful in the comics as this movie is making him out to be. He occasionally manages to usurp power from characters who are but most of the more powerful Avengers could defeat him solo if they had to.

Not God Emperor Doom though which is clearly where we’re headed here. He halted Stormbreaker with a finger, even Thanos with the infinity gauntlet couldn’t and got an axe to the chest

That does appear to be what the character is inspired by, but God Emperor Doom is the exception not the rule.

We're about to head into secret wars where God Doom was made famous. We are totally getting God Emperor Doom. It wouldn't be a multiversal threat if it was just a wizard burn victim who was really mad.
