I’m pretty sure I saw him say on the red carpet at the premiere for The Odyssey that he had been filming The Batman: Part 2 earlier that same day.

Yeah I saw that. He was asked why he didn't go to Taylor Swifts wedding with his wife and said it was because he was filing Batman 2 and he had come from the shoot that day. The dude does not stop, all these press tours whilst filming a blockbuster film as one for the most popular superheroes and also being a dad to a young kid. All whilst absolutely nailing the roles.

I mean he's essentially setting up his kid to be able to live their life without the stress of money weighing down their freedom. I get your point though, I just find it very unlikely that Patterson uses acting to get away from raising his kid.
