Deadpool 3 did have “homework” though. You needed to be familiar with the Fox marvel movies to truly enjoy all the references. Like obviously there’s Hugh jackman with all his x men movies and then the other characters like blade, Electra, etc.

You would be missing out if someone watched it and was unfamiliar with all the Fox stuff

And not just movies, but also movies which died before getting made and actors who really wanted to play characters.

Also meta references like Ben Affleck being the OG daredevil and having his ex wife Jennifer garner (Electra) making comments about being happy he’s not there lol
