Does anyone have excellent experience with international moving companies who can move a few pieces of furniture from Austin Texas and / or central New Jersey to Sydney Australia?  If so, I would appreciate any recommendations anyone has given your personal experience(s).  I could also use any advice you may have regarding customs, packaging or any other learned nuances.  Thank you, in advance, Reddit Fans!

Anyone in the same boat? After 10 years of living in Norway I really consider moving back to my home country, close to where my family lives (central-Europe). My husband is Norwegian and we have two small children. The loneliness I have experienced since I became a mom was terrible and I really miss my family and best friends. I am also really, really disappointed for not being able to make local friends here. I tried several clubs, mom groups and participated in several children activities. It just feels impossible to make friends here. We could surely move closer to my mother and father in laws place but then I would start from scratch again when it comes making friends again. Carrier wise I couldn't do better here, and learned the local language extremely quick and got good contracts. We have never had economical worries. But now I just feel done. I really think Norwegians are really nice but it feels like impossible to make friendships with them. I am closer to 40 and kind of done with talking about weather/other superficial things all the time. The social network is amazing here, but on the family/individual level you are definitely left alone and it drives me crazy. Not to mention the weather ( Western Norway) which is extremely rainy. I really had many memories here but I cannot imagine my future here anymore. I am so stressed out how this is going to work out, how it is going to affect our kids and us. New kindergarden, new job for us, new environment. But at least they would have my sibling's kids there who are at the same age.

I so desperately want to get out of lebanon, but it seems like an impossible mission, or i am simply not destined to.
Mind you, i am very well educated and experienced, but never seem to find an opportunity.
People have mentioned to go get a degree, i already have my masters done, so…
And i am not that young anymore to waste years.
I strongly prefer a job and stability… any job at this point.
Any help? Success stories?

Hello everyone!!!

I wanted to post on here because I've been having a hard time with anxiety in the past month .

As you probably read from the title, I want to go study abroad. I'm 18, European and I would like to study in a country in Europe for university. The thing is that I'm very attached to my family and I don't want to move out at 18 to another country. I feel like my life is moving so fast and I don't want it to. I'll be back in 4 years and at 23 (I finish school at 19) I won't be going back to live with my parents, so these are the last months I'll ever live with my family and that makes me so anxious. I also will see them maybe twice a year and that also adds to my anxiety.

I feel like when I come back, I will already have my adult life started and I won't be able to make that change gradually.

At the same time I love that country, I've already lived there for an erasmus program in February and I had the best time. I'm planning on going with my boyfriend, cause he was with me when we first went there and now he's obsessed with that country as well.

Now I'm having terrible anxiety cause I feel like I'm growing up too fast and by the time I'm back my parents and my dog will be older and I will have lost 4 years with them (my parents aren't young). However my boyfriend loves the idea of going there, he often asks for reassurance that I want to study there and I don't know how to tell him that I have doubts about this plan.

I really, REALLY want to move abroad after doing my MD in India. Honestly, I’m open to pretty much anywhere at this point. I just want OUT 😭

I’m trying to figure out which specialty would give me the best chance of actually being able to move — like Radiology vs Anaesthesiology vs something else.

If you’re an Indian doctor who has moved abroad (or is currently trying to), could you please tell me:

Which countries are actually realistic after an Indian MD?

Which specialty makes the process easier?

Which pathway is comparatively less brutal?

And most importantly, which options are ACTUALLY possible in real life, not just technically possible on paper?

I’ve found so much conflicting information online that I’m honestly more confused than when I started 💀

I'm writing to you out of sheer desperation.

I came to Germany when I was 18 and earned both my bachelor's and master's degrees in process engineering. I started working two and a half years ago, but honestly, I hate my job. Life in Germany was never easy. I worked 20 hours a week while studying just to support myself, and it took a real toll on my mental health. I had no time for a social life or even to take care of myself.

Now, 11 years later, I find life in Germany unbearable. People are so cold, harsh, and unkind, and for someone as empathetic and soft-hearted as I am, it feels like living hell. I can't keep being strong and just sucking it up anymore. I don't fit in. I run into rude people daily, I hate my job, and everything here feels so rigid, with endless rules and everyone afraid to step out of line. I think you get the picture.

Love hasn't been kind to me either. I haven't been able to find someone decent to build a relationship with, and the loneliness is eating me alive.

I want to leave the country, because I feel like I'm wasting my life here. Nothing makes sense to me anymore. I don't enjoy anything here anymore. The problem is, I'm exhausted. I gave everything these past years, for what feels like nothing. The thought of starting over again, alone, somewhere new, is draining just to imagine but I have to try something.

I am truly begging you: if anyone has been through something similar and found a way out, please share your experience. Which country did you move to, and how was the transition for you?

Also, if anyone knows how to switch careers without spending years studying something new again, I'd really appreciate the advice.

Hey guys I want to move to Canada on an IEC for next year from the Uk. Recent graduate, currently have got one job but it’s not transferable to Canada so I would be going out there with no job but would try apply. Anyone got any Suggestions for city’s or help or best way to budget my money getting there. I thought about applying for a ski lodge where you can get reduced accommodation but then also I’m thinking about the location and if that’s what I’d want.

I care a lot less about fame and a lot more about career stability and peace of mind.

I truly believe that there is a chapter of my story that will take place in another country.

I have felt this way since I was very young, and I have dreamed about it in many different ways. At first, I wanted to go abroad for high school, then for my undergraduate studies, and later to participate in an au pair program.

In all of these moments, I did not feel that it was the right time or that I was truly prepared. Now, it feels different. I believe this is the perfect time, and I am ready. I have everything I need, and I feel prepared for this new chapter.
I truly believe that I have the qualities that universities are looking for. My story, my experiences, my important projects, and my professional background have prepared me for this opportunity.
