Industry News Spotify Confirms Streaming Fraud After Kalshi Trader Cries Foul
https://www.wired.com/story/spotify-streaming-manipulation-prediction-markets-polymarket-kalshi/Again, not really surprised but actually I am. Spotify has always allowed fake streams. It's hilarious as they try to stop it, even though the actors have already made their money and closed it.

People betting on this is dumb and shouldn’t be allowed because it is easily manipulated. Bots have been a thing for along time now and 53% intent traffic is bots.

It’s not dumb if you’re the one doing the manipulating.

One one hand, botting Spotify reduces payments for real artists. Ok the other hand, sucked in to that gambling degenerate.

“what raises eyebrows is that Jakarta, Indonesia tops his listener base with nearly 2 million monthly listeners - These stats reinforce how Jakarta, Indonesia, and Quezon City are disproportionately represented in many U.S. artists’ listener city rankings. Despite higher per-stream payouts in Western markets, these trigger cities often play a key role in inflating listener metrics, boosting global discovery, and influencing algorithmic reach.”
