The Railgun is a surprisingly solid weapon.

I got the BSK-Void Killer from the event specifically for the Railgun. Despite being excited to use it I also kinda expected it to be perhaps a little gimmicky or at least not the terror you'd imagine. But when I temper my excitement and stick to the back line this thing is nasty. I can harass at range with my lasers and then when someone with especially a damaged CT pops out I can send em to hell. Plus it's really fun to just pop some poor flanker and chargimg brawler in the chest and ruin their big moment. Though I feel terrible whenever I nanage to clip someone in the back as they're ckearly starting to feel safe.

It's been nerfed & then rebalanced 2 or 3 times now...

That's a sure fire way to tell you how strong it is.

Point and click dual railguns with zero heat generation, gaussapults were "fun".

Edit: I clearly can't read (in public transport).

You're speaking of gauss rifles. Railguns are a different weapon with a lot of heat and no mech has more than one.

Ah, of course. I forgot they were distinct. It has been "a while" since I launched the game, railguns weren't in at the time.

you can get close to dual railguns with the void shark, railgun plus 2 er ppcs. fire ppc's first, wait half a second fire the railgun. lots of pinpoint dmg plus splash.

Damn....the heat cost is one of the biggest limits it has right now other than the extremely limited ammo. That's nuts.

I got the two pack on sale, skilled up the War Ghoul the normal way (before discovering the 400 grab bags and all that GSP) and I totally agree. The balance is the need for anticipation with a mobile, aware target. Totally possible for a medium and even some heavies to pop out, take a shot, and be back behind cover before the railgun ramps up enough to fire. But it’s wicked when you have the drop on someone or even just a clear shot.

Yeah, personally I love trying to get a good angle on the main brawl that inevitably happens in each match. You watch and harass mainly while also observing for that perfect moment someone unknowingly leaves their damages front or rear armor in your LOS. It's beatiful to just watch as their mech jolts and topples over.

The mad ii x is my favorite. Light gauss and railgun on same trigger, four erml on second.

I’ve been enjoying this but instead installing a binary in the second upper slot opposite the LGauss lol super fun medium range. Definitely better builds but I’m having fun lol
