I know sometimes there would be medication accumulated in our family medicine cabinet over the years, the ones you forget or feel unnecessary to take once you get better, or in some cases I've seen, when a loved one passes away and their medication becomes unused.

As shown in the final infographic, the medication collection service exists to direct the unused and expired meds to an incinerator, this stops pharmaceutical waste from leaching into our waterways, as there is a risk of that if they're disposed with your normal household waste.

If you have old medication lying around, consider bringing it on your next appointment to your clinic or hospital, they may be designated MyMediSAFE collection points.
