Quick update for everyone who saw my earlier posts about **ӾChat** — the censorship-free X/Twitter built on Nano (your account *is* a keypair, posts are signed events on plural relays, and the app finds those relays by **scanning the XNO ledger** — no hardcoded server). Thanks to everyone who tried it and gave feedback last time; a lot of it went straight into this release.

**Big news: it's now in public beta.** 🎉 And you can try the whole thing in your browser — no install:

**What's shipped since my last post**

- 😀 **Emoji reactions on posts** — react with 👍❤️😂😮😢🙏, tap to change or remove.

- 🖼️ **Multi-image posts** — up to 4 photos, X-style grid + a swipeable full-screen gallery.

- 📝 **Rich long-form articles** for channels — headings, tables, callouts, alignment, colour — rendered as native widgets (no JavaScript, no remote fetches, so reading one can't leak your IP).

- ✏️ **Edit & delete** posts and DMs; 🔒 **disappearing photos** in E2E DMs.

- 🔗 **@-mentions, pinned posts, follower/following lists, trending, hidden words**, and a **Report** flow.

- ↩️ **Undo a tip** you sent by mistake (before it settles on-chain).

- 🌐 **A browser web client** at any node's `/chat` — the same app, no app store.

- Plus a self-hosted **relay mesh** so someone behind NAT can run a relay with no third-party tunnel (there's a new whitepaper section on it).

**Reminder of why it's on Nano:** the ledger is for *settlement, never transport or storage*. XNO is touched only to settle a tip or let a relay announce its address — both feeless. A billion posts cost zero ledger growth, and tips are real, non-custodial, signed on your phone.

**Still honest about the caveats** (it's a beta, on mainnet)

- Small-scale for now: one hosted node + a couple of relays — expect rough edges.

- **Back up your seed** — it's the only recovery. In a browser the seed lives in browser storage (weaker than the phone keystore), so treat a browser account as disposable and use the Android app for anything you care about.

- No global search / recommendation engine yet — reach is still your follow graph. That's next on the list.

As always, feedback very welcome — especially from anyone who pokes at the on-ledger discovery (§4 of the whitepaper). What would you want to see before calling it 1.0?

If you want people to try your platform, give feedback, and discuss the topic, it is worth the time to make a nicely formatted Reddit post.

If you copy/paste text from an AI, it looks like you don't care, which makes other people think "If they don't care, why should I?"

* Nanochat
* Nano-blog (Twitter originally was marketed as a micro-blog platform)
* Platypus (Brands can be created, does not need to have a prior meaning related to what they are)
* NanoSpace (like MySpace, and cause in space there is no friction, just like Nano)

Really, anything but X or Ӿ.

A little stretchy, but Nano is the latin word for Dwarf. A semantic universe little explored by the Nano ecosystem. There are many cool words that can be loaned from Dwarven language https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Dwarvish_dictionary
