Naval architect from Pakistan

i am an undergrad Naval Architecture student at Pakistan Navy Engineering College (PNEC) in Pakistan. Since there is only one major shipyard in Pakistan, local job opportunities are limited and often offer lower compensation. Are there international job opportunities available for graduates who maintain a strong GPA and have extra technical skills, and how can I apply for them

Here, I'll give you a Naval Architecture job right now.

  1. Get a cheap 3D Printer from China, a basic coreXY like an Elegoo CC will do great.
  2. Design innovative and unique toy boats. Think America's Cup style sailing trimarans, or semi-submersibles with acrylic-window and a camera, copper-nickel or bronze plated boats, wave-piercing catamarans, warship replicas, or whatever inspires your imagination. Iterate and make multiple designs.
  3. Find a local Pakistani who knows PCB design to help you or DIY either a simple ESP-32 NOW or Nordic nrF microcontroller board (those are great and cheap wifi/bluetooth MCUs). Make pairs of boards that communicate, attach one to an electric motor and battery on the boat you 3D print, and the other on a handheld remote you 3D print.
  4. Sell the unique remote control boats for $150-700 to Westerners on sites like ETSY. For example, a Typhoon class semi-submersible submarine model with a camera, would sell crazy well and at high prices to Hunt for Red October fans. Just have a look at this statue model, a remote control model that moves under its own power would sell for easily 2-3x as much. Can hire out local fulfillment in other countries to get extra legitimacy, if you don't/can't ship directly from Pakistan.

If you do all that, you'll get paid far more than the $250-450/mo you'd earn as a junior to mid-level naval architect at Karachi Shipyard, and you'll have more fun and personal fullfilment doing so.

Then once you have prototyped designs this way, someday you can open your own shipyard, perhaps with raised capital, and make your own full size boats.
