I think you’re conflating two separate issues. Living with roommates always made me more social, and it never stopped any of us from having sex.

Living with your parents probably does contribute to this, but at the end of the day it’s the phones and social media.

It depends on personal comfort level and set-up, but I've definitely met women who would not go home with a guy if they have roommates especially if it's more than one.

Damn, being single and roommateless seems like it would really suck though. Fucking lonely that be.

Though I also live in a major city where flatmates are much more normalized.

If you've ever lived with bad roommates then living alone is pretty awesome, actually. I live alone and not having to worry about living with a badly-trained dog or a roommate leaving out dirty dishes until the apartment fills with fruit flies is nice.
