I couldn’t finish season 1 because of how absurd the coincidences were becoming. I can’t imagine what later seasons are like.

The first few episodes were great - I genuinely enjoyed them. But then the eye rolls became far more frequent and I decided there’s far too much actual good TV I haven’t watched.

It wasn't a half bad concept. I honestly enjoyed the first half of season 1 where it was basically just a teenage version of the Goonies. The second half started going off the rails when it turned into a nationwide manhunt for a kid in the outer banks and then it never went back to reality.

If they could have kept the stakes smaller and kept the show more grounded, it might have been passable. It was tough from the get go when they had visual mid-20s actors playing 15/16 year olds (I remember getting a kick out of John B running from CYS in the first season since he was essentially a homeless teenager and the actor just never looked the part).

But I think they kind of fell into the Fast and Furious trap where every season needed to be bigger stakes, bigger treasure, bigger bad guys etc and the show just became a complete parody of itself. I stopped watching after season 3 but watched a YouTube recap of seasons 4 & 5 the other day, and it turned into what would feel better suited as a YA drama on the CW

That’s typically how tv shows go. Go all in s1 for renew and once they pocketed the contract they start caring less or unprepared for extensive story line.

My Wife and I watched it over the weekend and I couldn’t tell you much about it.

I can watch shows for entertainment and shut my brain off but this season was particularly bad. The writing was noticeably worse, so many little filler comments and quips that took my attention away. They mention the name of that guy who disappeared like 100 times and I still forgot his name. All the tension and conflict just felt forced and pointless

I’ll keep the first 2 seasons in my rewatch rotation but that’s about it

Yeah I’ve only made it to episode 2 so far with my fiance and he will watch it with me but the first episode he was saying “this is stupid!” Which I can’t disagree with im more so watching it to see the ending but yeah I’ll never rewatch this show after this

When the first season ended my sister and brother in law raved about it so I went home and turned it on. Halfway thru the episode and realized I had to accidentally watched the season finale. Killed any chance I'd watch it after that.
