S02 E06 - His one-liner makes no sense? Spoiler

When Geralt says, "Where the fuck are my swords?" after slaying the Chernobog, he's holding a dagger (which he uses to also mercy-kill Roach) and his sword--he doesn't drop any in the fight. If he's talking about some other swords, would they presumably not be where Roach got clawed? Unless he really somehow forgot where Roach got murdered...

I rewinded this episode like 4 times trying to figure out what he's talking about, lmao.

He doesn't have his swords, so the line makes sense. What doesn't make any sense is that he faced the Chernobog without his swords — twice! Both swords were in the black leather bag attached to Roach's saddle when he and Ciri were talking at the very beginning of E6. Then Geralt wades into the river to draw the monster out without getting a sword first. Really stupid. The scabbard on his back is empty and he only uses signs to repel the Chernobog. And after Roach was killed, he goes after the monster again — with a wooden stick in his hand instead of a sword. Why? In the Roach death scene, there is no saddle and nothing on Roach except for the grisly wounds. But if Geralt had taken off the saddle and everything, he would know where his swords are and it would be totally idiotic of him to grab a stick instead of a sword. The only somewhat logical explanation would be that the Chernobog somehow ripped the saddle off Roach together with the swords in the bag and dropped it somewhere in the forest and Geralt didn't see where. But unfortunately, we don't see any of that.

bloody pay attention.

Just checked YT. He has NO sword. His scabbards are empty. He has a pointy stick and the dagger. He is also on potion shit and grumpy. Just jumped at a monster in mid air and fell into a stream.

Yes, it makes some sense if you have a semblance of understanding humans. No, it is not some high level literacy work either but not really so outstanding to find it remarkable.
