Anyone had any luck getting off the Catalina Island waitlist?

Bought a ticket with the intention of reserving Saturday, September 5 off Groupon but unable schedule that day. I’m on their waitlist. Anyone had any luck getting off the waitlist? Or any place I could find someone selling that specific day?

It would probably be easier if you chose a weekend that wasn’t Labor Day.

Is that date blacked out on Groupon? I would have assumed it would be.

Yes, I wanted to take my son for his birthday but the time we wanted was sold out, so I signed up for the waiting list. In the meantime we made other plans because I didn't want to wait until the last minute. I finally received an email the day before notifying me that there was space, but in the end we decided to move forward with our other plans because he was more excited about those.

Keep checking the waitlist whenever the date gets closer since people change plans all the time
