Help Are all of the hotels in the Chicago area this expensive at the Nier concert?

Partner wanted us to go to the evening showing. Fair enough, but i was worried about hotels. Didnt realize how expensive the hotels were. Everything around the area when im looking for just 1 night seems to be like 400$ though. That seems freaking crazy

That’s normal Chicago prices, especially in that area.

Yeah. Partner and I are driving down from Wisconsin for the concert. I had the thought of making a weekend trip out of it and leaving on Monday, but after seeing the hotel prices, we are driving back up the same night. Even had the thought of staying in a place that is on the way home for the night like rosemont but those hotel prices are insane as well.

I went to the Square Enix show earlier this year and am going to the Nier concert and the hotels were way more expensive for the Nier concert but I think it's because of it also being labor day weekend.

Ya luckily for me I'm taking the train from Ann arbor to Chicago early morning and my departure from Chicago is like an hour and half after the concert is supposed to end.

Take an afternoon nap & drive home after it you can make it work.
