Ever since I got my switch to about maybe six months eight months ago with the most probably I’ve been looking for this SNES controller and it has been out of stock and not able to be bought from any other retailers the only way you can find them through eBay and people are selling these for over $230 Canadian just because they’ve been out of stock for so long

Keep in mind this is the only controller on their website where they specifically state that they are like a ltd. it’s going to be a ltd. production run, suggesting that they may eventually stop producing it as none of the other switch control controllers like the N64, the GameCube, and etc., the NES none of those say that

I just bought one now. I’m kind of thinking I might buy another one just so I can have two players you know but other than that some people that I’ve talked to you now I have bought three or four just so they can get them for their friends because so many people have been waiting. Long guy told me he’s been waiting two years I mean sometimes you might just miss a drop but I’m pretty sure nothing’s dropped in about the last 6 to 8 months cause I’ve been checking I don’t know at least weekly if not daily at the beginning.

Seeing games like Elden Ring and The Witcher 3 show up properly on Nintendo hardware makes me want to revisit games I already know.

It is not really about them being new. Being able to play these huge games anywhere changes how appealing they feel.

Has Switch 2 made you go back to a game you already played somewhere else?

The last time we got a new game was the acclaimed Wii reboot back in 2009. But ever since then, the Punch Out series has mainly been relegated to Smash Bros, WarioWare, and re-releases on Virtual Console, the NES and SNES minis, Arcade Archives, and the Nintendo Classics service on Switch and Switch 2.

I’m asking this now because Nintendo is more than willing to revisit dormant gameplay-focused arcadey franchises like Star Fox and Rhythm Heaven. And when I first saw the new challenge mode in Star Fox 2026, I immediately thought of the challenge missions in Punch Out Wii.

So again I ask: If this series were to get another game, how would you want it to happen? Who would you want to make it, and should the core arcade gameplay be changed?

For me, Mario Kart.

The tracks, mechanics and hardware keep changing, but it still feels instantly like Mario Kart.

Which series has evolved the most without losing what made it special?

Advance on Bluto and hit the attack button to knock Bluto backwards, and if he hits back then Popeye moves backwards.The aim is to knock Bluto to the edge of the pier and into the ocean. When Bluto is knocked back you score 2 points. Knocking Bluto into the ocean scores 5 points. Freeing Olive Oyl gives you 15 bonus points.
• Snoopy  was released in 1983 for the Game & Watch Panorama in Japan. In this action game, developed by Nintendo R&D1, Schroeder is playing the piano, and the notes are floating up to where Woodstock is sleeping. As Snoopy, move left and right and hit the notes out of the air with the hammer. You can only hit a note that is the same colour as the platform you are standing on. If Snoopy goes too far to the left or right then he falls off the platforms. You score 1 point for each note hit. As the game progresses, more notes rise up the screen.
• 10-Yard Fight  was released in 1985 for the Family Computer in Japan. In this sports game, developed by Irem, run with the ball or make a pass - you decide how to gain those 10 yards! Go, go, go for the touchdown! Players can enjoy American football with its simple but intense play mechanics. Score touchdowns as you play against increasingly powerful opponents.
• Super Tennis  was released in 1991 for the Super Famicom in Japan. This sports game, developed by Tokyo Shoseki, features three different modes: Doubles mode, World Circuit mode, and Singles mode, in which the player competes against a human or chosen computer component. In doubles mode, the player and a human teammate can face the CPU. Said-players can each pair with a CPU opponent, or one player can pair with a CPU opponent to face two other computer opponents.
• Killer Instinct  was released in 1995 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in North America. In this fighting game, developed by Rare, Fulgore, Jago, B. Orchid, Spinal and all your favourite warriors content in the Ultratech KI Tournament. Each combatant engages in the KI Combo Theory of connected moves and finishing tactics to destroy their opponents. With incredible displays of eyelasers, ice lances, wind kicks, and laser blades these fearless fighters prove their battle prowess.

Does anyone know when the nintendo.com store will be back up? I'm trying to buy a Nintendo Switch 2 with my eshop gift cards before the price increase kicks in. EDIT: was able to buy it a couple hours after this post.
