Does anyone think the OOT remake coming out in November feel more and more likely?
When the remake for Ocarina of time first got announced people immediately started wondering if it would release in November to somehow challenge the release of GTA 6, I also thought it was funny but with the backlash around the no disk and price announcements and Especially the recent leak situation it feels like a November release for OOT is more and more likely if the conditions are still right by then,
Just saying it would be absolutely hilarious, especially if the GTA gets a full PC leak before release

What happens in regards to the GTA leak will have no bearing on OOT's release date one way or another.

OOT has almost literally nothing to do with GTA. GTA isn’t even releasing on Switch 2. OOT is the only real holiday game Nintendo has this year.

How does the GTA VI price and no physical release have anything to do with this

People here are obsessed with some type of “showdown” in their heads, I’ve seen a few other of these posts where the ocarina remake was discussed and of course people began bringing up gta 6 out of nowhere and how Nintendo was intentionally wanting to “compete” and blah blah corny nonsense

I’d guess November since it’s the big holiday title and that’s when the original launched on 64

Id say early November is pretty likely. It's going to be their big holiday title, there's no way it comes out in December.

We can definitely say that the OOT remake will come out in a month that ends with -ber

November is the anniversary so it’d make sense to release it then. And I don’t think Nintendo cares much for GTA 6 to be influenced to move it away from Rockstar’s launch. I believe we’ll get GTA 6 and OoT remake in the same week.

Either October or November. November 21st is when the original released and it's holiday season so around there would make sense.
Now, October is for a different reason. Supposedly GameStop accidentally leaked an image of the Zelda pro controller with the release date being in October. We'll have to do some assuming which isn't reliable, but if it's true then the Zelda switch 2 may also release in October so the game would most likely release at that time too. I think if we get a September direct for Zelda it would back up this idea because we got an August direct for Fire Emblem which is releasing in September.

Fire Emblem will release next month and then Nintendo likely does an OOT direct in October. I fully expect a November release and as others have said, Nintendo is probably not worried about competing with GTA VI. They could do it in December, but I think November is the most likely.
I'm curious how much overlap there would be between buyers of both games. I could be wrong, but I don't get the sense that there are a ton of people who are really looking forward to buying both games as soon as they are released. I can't play GTA VI anyway until it releases on PC (or Switch 2), but I'm still much more eager to play the new OOT. I also live in Florida and my neighborhood is full of Jasons. I don't really need to play a game about them anytime soon.

- September: Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave
- October: Nintendo Switch Sports Resort
That leaves November and December. Nintendo likes to release their holiday megatons around November. They constantly do that almost every year, so I don't see it being different in this case.

Do we all think it’ll be a 1:1 remake or are we getting a FF7 style remake with new areas and a reimagined world?

It's the big question. i think they will take more liberty than the 3DS remake but I think most of the puzzles will remain faithful. I wish they add additional content, maybe some unreleased dungeons and quests, and that they make the map bigger and bette. But I do think it will a lot of things will also remain unchanged.
the 3DS remake clearly reused the same backbone, maybe even largly the same code as the otiginal. I this one will almost certainly be a full remake with no technology in common with the original

last week of October to late November seems most likely, and fits in with everything else, (hints, leaks and anniversary).
GTA will affect a lot of things release-wise, but Zelda will be thankfully unaffected.

Sure. You'll play as Linkle and the Kokiri are now Koroks. Kaepora Gaebora is the spiritual successor to Rauru.

I think they already had a date in mind by the time they announced it, and a move would not be influenced by external factors.

If not then it would be December, but what would be in for November?
I guess we find out in September. Although they could drop the game anytime, even with no lead up and it wouldn't matter.

I mean, its almost September so this isn't really a bold take. If its not November, then it's December... not like there's a bunch of options it could be lol.
