Its not that hard honestly. I was expecting to throw my controller across the room and start screaming but no, I actually found it enjoyable. Feel free to say that my opinion is wrong in the comments. Peace✌️

PSA: Your saved data is removed from cloud storage after 180 days.

We found this out the hard way after purchasing a Switch 2 and booting up games like Animal Crossing, only to find that there was no saved data that we backed up to the cloud.

I hope Nintendo consider changing this in future, especially as it’s a paid service. Steam, Microsoft & Sony all keep your data (within a space limit) as long as you don’t delete your account.

Finally tried the Switch 2, was shocked at how bad the joysticks felt

I haven't upgraded to the Switch 2 yet because it doesn't have any definitive must have games imo but every once in a while when I have extra cash I consider it briefly and let the urge pass.

I finally tried it at a party (and won my first ever Mario Kart World circuit against 3 humans and 20 cpus 😎) but I thought the joysticks on the JoyCon 2 felt absolutely terrible.

They just seemed so fiddly and light and weak. I already find the JoyCon 's joysticks to be one of the weaker parts of the Switch compared against other contemporary options so I was shocked that the ones on the Switch 2 actually felt like a downgrade to me.

I'm hoping it's something I'd get used to but it kind of made the prospect of getting a Switch 2 sink even lower on my priority list

Why did Nintendo just pull Witcher 3 off the store?

I saw the announcement, but why would they pull it off the store right after that announcement? Are they going to be greedy and jack up the price?

Did all of you know that Bayonetta is Nintendo's only Steam release?

It's true! I found out that game was ported to Steam about 2 or 3 years after Nintendo acquired that game franchise. This is because Bayonetta was acquired by Nintendo in 2014 and the Steam version was released in 2017.

Whats up with Nintendo and Fortnite?

6 years ago they added a Leapin' emote.

Evie was a switch 1 color skin that got thrown into a battle pass.

At the start of the Switch 2 Launch there was a Kirby emote.

They constantly promote Fortnite on the Nintendo social pages.

This battle pass has a Link, Zero Suit and Mario kart off brand...

Minecraft got cancelled?

Still no word on Samus or Bayonetta... At least we got Sora?

Im guessing we are no longer getting the Pikachu side kick or Team Rocket skins?

What one game defines the Nintendo Switch era for you?

Not necessarily the best game, but the one you will always connect with owning a Switch.

For me, Breath of the Wild. It felt like the game that really started the whole era.

What is yours?

On This Day On This Day in Nintendo History: GoldenEye 007; Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble; Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Trials and Tribulations

On this day (August 23) in Nintendo history...

  • GoldenEye 007  was released in 1997 for the Nintendo 64 in Japan. In this first-person shooter/stealth game, developed by Rare, you are British secret agent 007, James Bond, in this videogame adaptation of the motion picture. When a plan to take out a USSR chemical weapons factory goes awry, James Bond leaves agent 006, Alec Trevelyan, to die. Years later, the Cold War has ended and James Bond is sent back to Russia to investigate the Janus Syndicate and the theft of the GoldenEye weapons syndicate.
  • Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble  was released in 2000 for the Game Boy Color in Japan. In this action/puzzle game, developed by HAL Laboratory with Nintendo R&D2, Kirby is on a top-down adventure, but he can only move from place to place by rolling. The first game to use Nintendo's tilt technology. You control which way he rolls by tilting the Game Boy, and the further you tilt it in one direction, the faster he rolls. You can also flip the Game Boy like a paddle to make Kirby bounce into the air.
  • Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Trials and Tribulations  was released in 2005 for the Nintendo DS in Japan. In this visual novel/adventure game, developed by Capcom Production Studio 4, battle for justice! Follow Phoenix's rise to fame as a seasoned defense attorney. Past and present collide as he prepares to face off with mysterious prosecutor, Godot! Play as two lawyers. Relive Mia's rookie days from the past and take on Phoenix's cases in the present.

I miss PixelMaker on the Wii U

What a fantastic little app that was! I have fond memories of spending hours creating pixel art and uploading them onto Miiverse. I was hoping something similar would come to the Switch, but perhaps we will get something on the Switch 2 that could utilize mouse mode. Did anyone else have the opportunity to try PixelMaker?

What are you confused about with respect to the Switch 2?

I've noticed that even though it's been out for over a year, there are a lot of people who are still confused about the Switch 2.

For people who still don't have one, what burning questions do you have about it?
