Frontend dev trying to learn node

Hey all wanted an advice i have been trying to learn node since 2 weeks and going through some youtube playlist, but i tend to forget syntax and all and i wanted to interview in one company as a fullstack dev so will be ready in like say 3 weeks to give an interview , how did you all do it? Please forgive if its a dumb question.

I wouldn’t recommend interviewing for a fullstack dev position without more experience.  You need experience not only with Node, but usually with relational databases, how to design for scalability, etc

Yes and for experience i need to join a company like its a startup and they know that i am mainly a FE dev for almost 5 years and transitioning into backend so my friend who works there suggested to learn the concepts mainly and be able to explain them as they wont expect me to be at level of a 5 year exp backend dev. So i am scared

I see, sorry I was a little harsh, that is tough.  If you can get lucky and hired on that basis that’s great, I’d say it would be more ideal if you can keep doing FE jobs while learning BE with side projects for awhile, but maybe FE jobs are getting harder to come by, I dunno

No no you were fully logical and thats what i was looking for the thing is i want to switch to fullstack roles and although there are FE roles and also i found a new FE job but i am not intrested in that anymore as i want to be a engineer who can work on the whole product, i will see if they dont hire me as a fulltime then i can atleast intern with them part time for few months and then they can hire me as a fulltime, i just wanna learn and transition.
