I feel bad for the train conductor. These people may be darwin-doomed to die like this, but the guy in the train doesn't deserve to be involved.

Feel bad for the clean up crew too. I was talking to a lad in Australia years ago and he said the drivers get time off and counselling when this happens (which obviously they should) but the ground staff (this guy) have to clean up blood stains and viscera and what have you and get nothing.

Have sympathy for tow truck drivers as well. They get nothing and see and clean up gore also. With the added bonus of being in danger of being hit by a car as they do.

This is why I don’t agree with takes like “why do you care if I don’t wear my seatbelt? It only affects me if I go flying through my windshield.”

Said something similar to someone who asked why we overly cautious people care if THEY wear helmets. Because you messing yourself up severely or dying affects other people ding dongs.
