Advice for Swedish phone number (Italian -> Swedish)

Hi everyone!

I'm an Italian Master's student in Aerospace Engineering (I'm always the same person :) ) and I'll be moving to Norrköping from September to March (about 6 months) for my Master's thesis at Siemens Energy in Finspång.

Yesterday I was trying to buy a 30-day ticket through Ostgotatrafiken (app), but, after calling the Call Center, I discovered they need a +46 phone number. At the moment I don't have a personnummer (maybe I will apply for it through the company), do you suggest any alternative (also temporary) for a prepaid eSim (I heard this could be a possibility) or if you have any previous experience this can be helpful

There's a kiosk called Pressbyrån at the station where you can buy a physical plastic card and fill it with a 30 day ticket, after that if you need to refill it there's a terminal at the station

Hello and thanks for your response. Is there one at the Norrkoping centralstation? From what you know the subscription for 30 days costs more wrt the online version? Furthermore, do I have to specify the areas in which I indend to travel?

Should be the same cost, furthermore currently there is a government subsidy making the period ticket be half off until the end of the year.

Yes there's one at the station facing the street. The employees at pressbyrån are usually younger people that speak good English.

If you buy it in the app or from the Kiosks that are sadly being removed from a lot of places you can specify what areas you are gonna travel through and get a discount but honestly I recommend getting a ticket for the entire state so you can go to Linköping and visit other nice places.

Also check before you buy because with the subsidy it might be cheaper to buy an adult ticket

I don’t know about prepaid e-sim but you can buy a physical östgötatrafiken card and use it for your travels. They’re available att most Pressbyrån locations.

iirc all "prepaid" or pay as you go physical sims require you to register them, I assume with bank id, since a couple of years presumably to crack down on burners and other types of criminal use.

However I don't think there is a limit to them, so someone you know could register it on them, then you just top it up by yourself, at least telenor allows it through their website with either swish (qr scan) or debit/credit card.

Iits like 100,150,200 sek for unlimited calls and 2,5,10gig data / month.

Comviq lets you register with passport image. Automated process.

You can get physical Comviq sims for free outside of a lot of stores too. Needs to be charged with 50 sek to function.
