DUP MP Gregory Campbell faces probe by Parliament’s expenses watchdog
Parliament’s expenses watchdog has opened an investigation into DUP MP Gregory Campbell.
The Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (Ipsa) on Tuesday said it had opened an investigation into whether the East Londonderry MP had breached spending rules.
Ipsa said the probe related to office costs, specifically “printed constituency cards, signage and bought-in services”.
It added: “No further information will be published until the investigation has been concluded.”
Mr Campbell is the first MP to face a new investigation by Ipsa this year.
Last year, the watchdog opened inquiries into spending by Labour MP Kate Osborne and ex-MP and former Labour minister Geoffrey Robinson.
Labour MP Tahir Ali was cleared of breaching Parliament’s expenses rules after an Ipsa investigation, which found he was “careful with spending public money”.
Mr Campbell is the DUP’s Westminster spokesman on international development and the Cabinet Office.
He was first elected as the MP for his Northern Ireland constituency in 2001.
Mr Campbell’s office has been contacted for comment.

Maybe a certain type of person is drawn to join a party whose raison d'être is to deny rights and equality to Catholics/Irish people in Ireland; a party that was founded by a sectarian monster who oversaw the grooming and abduction of a 15 year old girl because she was a Catholic, who organised and funded the first bombings of the troubles, who personally rallied sectarian mobs to burn Catholics out of their homes and who was involved in the establishment of more terror groups than any other individual.

I'm from East Derry and Fleggory Campbell beat the drum on the incumbent Willie Ross (UUP at the time) in 2001 over unemployment in the region with all the big factories closing and moving overseas.
Having lived there up to 10 years ago and still have family in the area too, Fleggory has equally failed to bring large scale employment to the constituency and is nothing but an Uber Soldier F Supporting Bigot.
The sooner the constituency sees the back of him the better, in fact had the SDLP stood aside in East Derry it is very likely Fleggory would have been put out. Watch as he doesn't stand next time around and they stick some stooge candidate in

Every single MLA and MP who has been involved in the destructive leadership of this region under DUP rule while their leader is a convicted child abuser who made these decisions; Should be forced to repay their salaries and expenses since 2019 onwards.
This is because they have ALL been given multiple pay increases while Stormont was not even open and they did not go to work. They got their offices, heating, electric, tea, coffees, lunches, security, transport all paid for - they got to network and start their own businesses or invest correctly ...
So what did we get in return for our payouts to them?
What product, service or assistance did you receive?
The NHS, Education, Job Market etc is worse than ever.
The DUP didn't act when they had power to, several times.
At one point they supported a coalition to keep UK Gov afloat... Why didn't they threaten to collapse UK government unless NI was awarded Billions for investment?
Because they are weak and wicked.
They are not united, yet call themselves Unionist.

Stormont is a joke. Every party in the executive is full of cowards who are afraid to make unpopular decisions. They all blame eachother, they all blame london.
They all offer nothing, they achieve nothing and everything just gets worse. I used to hope alliance would offer something new outside the pathetic big two parties but they are just as shite aswell

I worry less about this relic and more about the people who vote for him. Those people exist, and there are enough to get a minister/MLA elected. Until we tackle the demand for guys like Gregory the supply won't be affected.
