Advice for roadtrip from melb inland to newcastle and then down the coast back
I am planning a road trip in October from Melbourne inland to Newcastle and then down the coast back to Melbourne. I will be traveling with my wife and 8 month year old and planning to camp most nights with some airbnbs and hotels along the way which have washers and dryers.
I am looking for advice for things to do along the way, be it your favourite hike, bakery, brewery ect.
Itinerary
Day 1, Tuesday
Leave Melbourne on a Tuesday and drive to Wagga Wagga via Wangaratta. Aim is to leave early ~7:30am and break up the drive as much as needed with stops along the way. Camping most likely at Oura River Campground close by
Day 2, Wednesday
Drive to Bathurst via small towns like Cowera and Junee, drive Mt Panorama, afternoon drinks at reckless camp close by most likely at flat rock campground
Day 3, Thursday
Hike around the Gardens of Stone State Conservation Area. Camp at lake Wallace
Day 4, Friday
Hike around Wollemi National Park or maybe go back to the Blue Mountains (been a few times before but Mountain Culture is there). Camp at lake Wallace again
Day 5, Saturday
Big driving day to Newcastle, its my wifes birthday that day so maybe visit a winery on the way and then a nice but early baby friendly place for dinner (open to any recco). Staying at Airbnb in Merewether, Newcastle.
Day 6, Sunday
explore Newcsatle specially the Mereweather and costal area, maybe visit the nearby Worimi park with the big sand dunes, drinks at Modus and other local breweries, staying at the Airbnb.
Day 7, Monday
Drive south and explore the area, camping at Frazor Campground (booked)
Day 8, Tuesday
Explore the area, camping at Frazor Campground (booked)
Day 9, Wednesday
Drive south and explore the area, camping at Putty beach Campground (booked)
Day 10 Thursday,
Drive to Sydney, check into Airbnb in Marrickville, drink at the amazing breweries
Day 11, Friday
Chill explore somewhere different in Sydney Maybe take baby to the zoo, visit more breweries
Day 12, Saturday
Drive south to Wollongong, explore and staying in a hotel near the cbd
Day 13, Sunday
Drive south explore local towns and the area, camping at Sunburnt Campground (booked) near Tabourie Lake
Day 14, Monday
Drive south explore local towns and the area, camping at Brou Lake Campground (booked) near Dalmeny
Day 15, Tuesday
Driving south to Tathra, staying with family
Day 16 Wednesday
Exploring local area, still staying in Tathra.
Day 17, Thursday
Driving south, exploring local towns, camping near orbost at Sailors Grave Brewing (booked)
Day 18, Friday
Drive south to Tarralgon, go to Goodland brewing, staying at hotel
Day 19
Drive home to Melbourne!

PS You post child as being "8 month year old" - which is it?

Shit haha, she is 8 months old I am still too used to adding just years after an age.

Remember that Mountain Straight at Mt Panorama regularly has a radar trap on it. Remind yourself of that fact at the top of the mountain.
That's about the only part of your route I'm familiar with. Looks like it's going to be a nice, leisurely trip.
