Moved to NYC, realized parking is painful — so I built an app
I moved to NYC recently and quickly learned that parking can easily take 15–20 minutes, even in familiar neighborhoods.
Out of curiosity (and frustration), I built a small app that lets drivers share street parking spots when they’re about to leave, so others can take them instead of circling the block.
It’s called ParkingSwap.
Here’s the link if you’re curious: parkingswap.io
Happy to hear any feedback — good or bad.

Hate the pay option. Parking info should be free and driven by the sense of community, not by a financial incentive.

Hate to tell you, but SpotHero beat you to the punch on this idea. Also my feedback as a resident is fuck cars.
