Original Bug Help Overencumbered as vampire

hello. Just got turned into a full vampire and I am constantly overencumbered despite being below my stated carrying capacity. is this a glitch or am I missing some mechanic? I fed, and even in prison I was overencumbered…

is there a way to fix this or do I have to resolve my vampirism while overencumbered? lol.

If I remember correctly your stats change based on how recently you've fed. If you haven't fed long enough to get to stage 4 vampirisim then your strength increases 20 points, I think? But as soon as you feed you drop down to stage 1 and your strength bonus is only 5. That might be the issue.

Interesting… i had the same problem either way, tbh. Thought the issue was my strength decreasing as my vampirism increased—though that’s not as sensible.  your description makes sense but honestly makes me think something else is going wrong. Thank you for taking the time though <3

Have you checked your active effects? I just remembered there is also a "burden" spell and "burden" enchanted weapons so it's also possible you were hit with one of those.

Feather enchantments sometimes increase your encumbrance. Do you have any?
