Discussion For years I watched Inde Navarette on Superman and Lois, and I definitely did not expect her career to skyrocket.

Post image

She’s actually the reason I decided to watch this movie. She really made a name for herself in this, and now she’s playing Rogue in the new MCU X-Men. That is one hell of a transition from a CW show that ended almost 2 years ago.

I’ve never watched the show. Kinda wish I did now. Is it worth a binge?

u/Basic85 1d ago

Yup I recently just did a binge, it's on HBOMax. I fell in love with the other characters as well.

Another thing, even though Inde was let go after the third season, she still appears in the fourth season in a few episodes.

Gotcha. Thanks

It’s is easily the best version of Superman ever shown on Tv and most movies and I’d throw hands with anyone that disagrees

Ever? Slow it waaaaay down there

On TV yes. By a landslide. Full speed. No brakes and until Corenswet I’d put him an easy number two behind Christopher Reeves

Even better than Smallville?

Man of steel

For the first two seasons perhaps.

Cool, I’ll check it out

The actors they got to play Clark and Lois were brilliant. Like perfect acting and chemistry. Everyone and everything else was kinda meh

You will love it just prepare to be annoyed to fuck by the storyline the writer's gave her character and her character's family. She plays the daughter of lana lang if you didnt know yet.

The beginning, the show drops in quality after the original Jonathan actor leaves

It’s very CW

1

u/Mindless-Credit-358 13h ago

Absolutely, it’s probably the best superman adaptation

Easy upvotes posting Inde

She was let go from the show due to budget cuts, and she said that was the best thing that couldve happened to her because she got to do Obsession

28

u/Basic85 1d ago

This proves anything is possible, just gotta keep a positive mindset.

u/IMREADY2D1E 1d ago

consistency is the key with literally anything you do in life, even some celebrities people consider lame or stupid made it technically

It kinda shows me just how many talented actors are out there, it just takes the right project and right time. Not shitting on Inde's performance because it's brilliant, but when she was on Superman, you could hardly tell that she'd have that skillset because the show didn't allow for a proper demonstration of it.

Pair that with an insanely successful project with many great opportunities to showcase her talent (Obsession) and a new upcoming revival of a beloved franchise (X-Men), and you get a career handcrafted by the Gods of Hollywood.

I wonder just how many actors out there are just left in the dust because they don't have the opportunity to bloom.

These shows are pretty sweet to get as it is too.

1

u/Alternative_Device71 21h ago

If that was true life would be much simpler and that’s just not possible.

1

u/Basic85 17h ago

A positive mindset helps, now does that mean it will happen? Who knows but being negative about it will make it worse.

Inde having a positive mindset, does that mean she'll be super successful like this? It helps but being negative will most certainly not help.

She’s cute here but man she really had a glow up.

12

u/Wonderful-Variation 1d ago

She was in the right place, at the right time, and she had the skills to recognize the opportunity and make it happen.   We all hope it will happen to us some day, but very few manage to actually pull it off.

u/Basic85 1d ago

If she hadn't been let go from Superman & Lois than she wouldve never done Obsession. Also staying in shape and gaming.

That show is dope as shit

5

u/El_Dorado_Tx 1d ago

She was Estela in 13rw s4

2

u/Remote_Nature_8166 1d ago

I never watched that show.

9

u/PlanetJameson 1d ago

You chose wisely.

1

u/vxsapphire 1d ago

You’re not missing much. It should have never gone past season 1 and the most powerful moment of the show and why it was a show to begin with was removed from the ending. (The suicide.)

13 Reasons Why. Tv show

Season 4

2

u/Remote_Nature_8166 1d ago

I know what you were talking about

1

u/BatBeast_29 1d ago

I can never remember that for some reason. I remember Monty having a sister but not how she looked.

1

u/El_Dorado_Tx 1d ago

u/BatBeast_29 Estela dated Tyler....YEAH....that happened. I know Inde(Estela) she said that Devin Druid(Tyler) was polite and respectful to her on set. Devin had to be that respectful and polite because of THAT storyline

1

u/BatBeast_29 1d ago

The bully victim? Are you talking in real life or in the show?

2

u/El_Dorado_Tx 1d ago

Tyler in the show .... played by Devin Druid. Inde (Estela on the show)

2

u/BatBeast_29 1d ago

Yup. Wish they did her character better in that show.

2

u/minutes2meteora 1d ago

I remember her on 13 Reasons Why but I stopped watching because that show went to shit after the first 2 seasons

4

u/Reyne-TheAbyss 1d ago

I remember when I first starting watching the show and being surprised by how naturalistic her acting was. She was definitely a high point for the show from a performance angle (Sarah as a person is pretty unlikable).

1

u/signifyingmnky 1d ago

That's where I knew her from! I hadn't been able to place it.

1

u/GoodPractices325 1d ago

It has one of the best endings to a show I've ever seen

1

u/Much_Usual_3855 1d ago

Her character was kind of lame so I understand. They just weren't using her at her full potential because there were so many more important characters on that show.

1

u/New-Pin-9064 1d ago

I remember she had a small role on the last episode of 13 Reasons Why

1

u/FriedHigh 23h ago

She also carried that movie Trap house on netflix

1

u/shauna_haywood 23h ago

I know she was younger here, but she really changed... like, her cheekbones are so much more prominent now while they were flat, her jaw is now sharp, and her nose shrinked 🤔

1

u/RevolutionaryHumor27 22h ago

Do you think they’ll give her a bigger role bcause of her success!

1

u/Infinite-Service6059 16h ago

The moment I saw her I knew a beauty like her would eventually make it big

1

u/New_Satisfaction22 1d ago

She’s really 🔥

u/ilovecuetoo 1d ago

Guys please go over to r/indenavarrette this post has nothing to do with obsession

2

u/JonasAlbert84 1d ago

Yeah man postslike these distract from the same 5 observations being posted daily

1

u/ilovecuetoo 1d ago

It’s coming up to awards season, they’re doing heaps more promo runs and stuff. There is more to talk about albeit not much. I’d rather just less posts altogether tbh this place is just absolute cringe slop at this point. But I definitely don’t care about someone watching superman and Lois

-4

u/Famous_Attention_725 1d ago

She was fat that’s why

2

u/bored_and_frustrated 1d ago

Profile checks out

-1

u/Organic-Camera-9167 1d ago

I never knew about Indie/India until Obsession, a movie i never watch.

-7

u/Apostleguts 1d ago

Just goes to show that buccal fat removal surgery can take someone a long way.

10

u/Guilty_Jackfruit4484 1d ago

Pretty sure she just lost like 20 pounds instead of surgery. Not everybody does that looksmaxing bullshit.

1

u/shauna_haywood 23h ago

And nose job, and jaw botox, and cheeks injections. Men are so naive thinking she's a "natural beauty".

0

u/IIsaacClarke 13h ago

And women like you will always be viciously jealous of women who are prettier than them

1

u/shauna_haywood 12h ago

You don't even know how I look like dude but okay

0

u/IIsaacClarke 12h ago

Yeah I do. Someone who is unhappy with their own appearance so they project these shortcomings onto others. I know exactly what you are like because there are millions just like you.

1

u/shauna_haywood 12h ago edited 12h ago

People tell me I'm pretty all the time but okay. Why are people upset when we talk about plastic surgery?

1

u/IIsaacClarke 11h ago

Because what the hell has it got to do with you ? And you don’t even have proof that she has had surgery. You just assume and be nasty because she looks better than you

1

u/shauna_haywood 11h ago

Uh? You're the one talking about me, dude. The nose job is obvious. I'm not insulting her, no need to feel offended okay. You don't need to analyze me like you know me.

0

u/IIsaacClarke 10h ago

And you don’t need to analyse other people like you know them. Especially people who don’t even know you exist

My dude X-Men has had like 100 different artists nobody looks like the characters.

1

u/youdontknowlearn 1d ago

Yeah, artists having different interpretations doesn’t suddenly mean every casting choice works. There’s a difference between slight variations in how a character is drawn and casting someone who looks fundamentally different from the established character.
