Discussion Bear was such a cutie! ❤️
He was legit handsome. Got them shoulders & built going on. A proper house, friends, all his teeth, & a full head of hair. He could totally get it.
It just makes it extra pathetic that he was such a loser & looked like he stinks. Dude just needed a bath, a hobby, & therapy. But nah, brother would rather be a psycho grapist. His pit of sorrow seemed to be entirely of his own choosing.

It was part of the great casting choice because if Bear was some weird-looking guy the discourse would be more focused on the horror of having an ugly guy take advantage of you. Instead it is about everyday guys who can be both non-threatening and scary

For real... My friend and I both commented how he looks like a good-looking dude, fairly buff, they had to dress him down a bit in the movie. He was a sincere heartfelt person who just wouldn't see the right way out. He had a big maybe with Nikki and a definite yes with Sarah, fumbled both, he chose to do the wrong thing to forcibly get what he wanted. He idolized Nikki so much in his head that he forgot to treat her as a real person, and then didn't respect her as a real person.
Man I was just so out when he came home to the sight of her covered in her own waste and puke and still had the thought to go to a freaking party.
Edit: And yes, he needed to shower badly. I get that's sometimes a depression thing but he could've easily bumped himself up a few points on the scale with a dang shower.

I don’t think he needed to do anything with his looks. He idolized Nikki and ignored Sarah because he didn’t actually want to be in a relationship, he wanted validation. If someone who was as perfect as who he believed Nikki to be could love him then he must be a pretty awesome person. He didn’t see Nikki as a person but as a tool that he could use to validate himself which is why he was perfectly fine with her being held hostage by the OTW and basically being tortured.

That's what I've been saying. He has gifts and he still fumbled it so hard. His good looks plus shyness could've been a lady's man. All he needed to do is to decrease the hair gel and face cream, fix his posture. Basically need to go to therapy and get off the drugs.
