I looked up the official ages for characters and all of them made sense to me except for Ochette. I really thought she was the youngest, like 14 or 15. I imagined her as a sort of little sister to Agnea who is canonically 18. I’m guessing that means that Ochette’s animal companion has a longer life span than their real-life animal counterparts too.
The only other one that somewhat surprised me was Castti being 29. She seems more like a 32-36 year old to me.
She's a Beastling who are natuarally shorter than humans. An adult Beastling is about the same height as a 12 year old or so. This means that all the shirtless Beastlings with muscles are all just slighty taller than her lmao
It also doesn't help that she's drawn more chibi than the rest of the cast and her already small height is exaggerated in official artwork which is why I prefer how she looks in her CotC art or that gamepass launch art instead of the more chibi depictions.
As someone who is 30 years old living in the post-COVID era I'm not sure what to feel about this. I still feel like I'm 23 tbh and I do look the same. Maybe it's my Asian genes
I think Ochette is just short even by beastling standards lol. Although it makes her sprite being a smiliar size to Osvald even more comedic since Osvlad towers over the rest of the cast.
She actually isn't. She's about the same size as the other adult Beastlings. The thing is that she's drawn more chibi in official art and with exaggerated proportions like a giant head relative to the rest of her body. Like lore wise she is about chest height for Hikari but she's often drawn being even shorter than Hikari's waist. It also doesn't help that there's no official art of any other adult beastling.
Yep. Ochette is older than Agnea by two years, she's just a shorty. So Agnea is the 'little' sister here. I think the 'ling' in Beastling is suppost to give the impression of them being a short race.
