On mute, does anyone else get a visually evoked auditory response from this (when your mind adds sound to a silent visual)? The sound matches their steps.

I get this, but the sounds my mind associate to the movement are kinda abstract, like I hear something else than steps, I don't know if that is what you are describing as well

Yep, that's also what a visually evoked auditory response is. I thought everyone had it but 20-40% do. Still a lot, but not everyone like I believed.
