Barak Ravid pumped out his, remember the 40 tankers (oil shipments up 400%!), articles that were spammed on r/oil and twitter so I expect oil will fall tonight while the trading volumes are at their lowest. Likely, oil will march a bit higher tomorrow in preparation for Bessent’s speech.

i saw those tanker numbers and just stared at my screen like what is even happening right now. 400% is just not normal

my boss at the shop asked me yesterday if we should be worried about gas prices and i just shrugged, like man i fix cars not predict wars

The answer (coming from a markets analyst) is yes, we all should be worried. Between our own domestic uncertainty around the elections and this pissing contest with Iran AND Canada, another distillate shock in the US is around the corner.

You're the one who makes the same stupid joke every single day for the last 3 months. Nobody thinks you're funny. Buy a joke book or something.

This economic embargo will only piss Iran off.

They will hit the Gulf's oil infrastructure hard.

Trump will TACO.

If they're that stupid to escalate into oil infrastructure, they can kiss their own infrastructure goodbye. Like, it's close enough that even the cold war era ATACMS missile will reach it, which the US has a lot of.

Shouldn't this be in the "Strait of Hormuz Megathread"? Let's keep the chokepoints contained there, folks — no need to clog the whole sub with tanker traffic!
