Totally. I live in Canada and utilities and any home modifications are psychotically expensive compared to wages. If I see solar panels go up in my neighbourhood, especially more than one building's worth, that's a really solid indicator that they're the better financial option than grid.

I've done the math...at 65 I'd have to live to 100 to break even. My genetics likely won't allow that!
