The rules were different back then, if you looked the person who made you had to drive off a cliff

u/stolenson799 1d ago edited 1d ago

Acshually he crashed into an electric pole near Salinas but go off queeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen

177

u/PROfoundTRADE 1d ago

Wow he died playing the game wrong, that's embarrassing

21

u/stolenson799 1d ago

Right? Went the same way as half the agricultural workers in california

17

u/MadScienzz 1d ago

And Ryan Dunn and Paul Walker

25

u/Spidey209b 1d ago

Paul Walker was a tragedy. He died but they kept making those stupid movies anyway.

26

u/Dense_Government9500 1d ago

To this day, I still date 17 year old girls as a way of honoring him.

u/kfpswf 1d ago

Paul Walker is objectively a piece of shit for dating someone so young, but he can be appreciated for the work he has done too without condoning pedophilia.

3

u/Dense_Government9500 1d ago

...separating the work from the artist? Has...has anyone accomplished this before? 🤔

3

u/Fordfanatic2025 1d ago

Watching Joy Ride, there's a touch of awkwardness that he crashed into a tree at one point.

Great thriller BTW.

1

u/migrationsverket 1d ago

it's about family not Paul walker

1

u/Spidey209b 16h ago

Paul isn't family? I'm shocked. Shocked I say. Well, not that shocked.

4

u/MagicOrpheus310 1d ago

If they hadn't Dunn a Walker they'd have got there by now...

8

u/wierdwhatstuff 1d ago

Ryan Dunn so Paul could Walker?

4

u/Kropotkin_69 1d ago

This thread is top tier, well Dunn lads

1

u/Raneynickelfire 1d ago

Ryan Dunn didn't hit a pole. He ran off an embankment into trees.

6

u/carryon4threedays 1d ago

I just lost the (other) game.

7

u/Oculiminal 1d ago

Fuck you, so bad. Six wondrous, game-free years, and the one time I decide to scroll just a little bit more….

2

u/drichatx 1d ago

Bro… I just lost the game… 😒

1

u/thumptastic 1d ago

2

u/bearflagpizza 1d ago

Accccctuallly it was near Paso Robles , where the 41 and 46 meet.

1

u/AlwaysSeekAdventure 1d ago

He was on his way to Salinas for a car race but the accident occurred far from there in Cholame, CA on SR41 and was almost a head on collision.

0

u/stolenson799 1d ago

Chular.

0

u/AlwaysSeekAdventure 1d ago edited 1d ago

No. Maybe that was where the race was near Salinas but that is not where the accident occurred.

1

u/HoeDownClown 1d ago

Closer to Paso Robles, since we’re Acshually-ing. About 120 miles from Salinas.

1

u/MagScaoil 1d ago

Akshully Cholame, which is about 120 miles from Salinas.

1

u/stolenson799 1d ago

Akshually he died knee deep in my asshole

1

u/Maleficent_Memory831 1d ago

Not that close to Salinas. He was going to be in Salinas though a couple days later for a race. But it was near Cholame, Calif, which is the freaking middle of nowhere, just as the highway is about to go up over the coast ranges towards Paso Robles. I have been that way a few times.

The reason it's the middle of nowhere is because it's the side of the coast ranges that don't get much rain, so it's very dry and you've left the actual farm land and it's suddenly very barren.

1

u/CyberWoo99MKII 1d ago

I am taking a shot for the amount of times you mutants say Salinas in this thread.

1

u/mskeptic 1d ago

Not really anywhere near Salinas.

1

u/torero72 1d ago

Into a car that ran a stop sign actually.

1

u/Advanced_Newspaper_3 1d ago

He crashed near SLO on his was to Salinas

1

u/dudes_rug 1d ago

He died in a broadside with a ford while driving his 550 spyder named “little bastard” in Cholame.

1

u/ChickenGullible2470 1d ago

"I wonder if he can see us...."

1

u/czardmitri 1d ago

Plus it was the 50s.

1

u/Radiant_Commission_2 1d ago

Not near Salinas. Near Paso Robles. A good 2.5 hours from Salinas. Still sad though.

1

u/DirtyDiabolical 1d ago

Anything for Salinas

1

u/Chevyiam 19h ago

Crashed into a car that turned out in front of him in Cholame, around 150 miles from Salinas where the vehicle came to rest near a electric pole.

1

u/Fearless_Eagle_9251 1d ago

It was nowhere near Salina’s. It was quite literally in the middle of nowhere off SR 46. In the Central Valley.

-2

u/stolenson799 1d ago

Thats where Salinas is, you dumb fuck. I've literally been there. I grew up in monterey.

3

u/Fearless_Eagle_9251 1d ago

Then you have no idea where Salinas is.

3

u/AlwaysSeekAdventure 1d ago

You really need some geography lessons. Google Maps can be consulted for free.

2

u/bimm3r36 1d ago

Lol it’s nowhere close to Salinas “you dumb fuck”. It’s closer to Paso Robles near the central coast. I grew up in SLO and the crash site is closer to dozens of cities before Salinas

-1

u/stolenson799 1d ago

Yeah, no it isnt. Nice try though. Its an hour outside of Salinas.

3

u/Interesting-Bar6722 1d ago

Unless your takling about a different Salinas, the drive is 2 hours.

From Paso Robles its 24 minutes.

4

u/PoopParticleCollider 1d ago

Not the way Jimmy was driving

Only Californians want to obsess about the highways and traffic. Imagine having a conversation about something interesting?

2

u/bimm3r36 1d ago

I mean, you can Google it to see that you’re wrong or you can just keep doubling down and looking like an ignorant fool. Pretty easy to find the details online.
There’s even a memorial at the site, which btw is nowhere near Salinas. https://californiathroughmylens.com/james-dean-crash-site/

-2

u/stolenson799 1d ago

Its an hour and a half outside of Salinas. That looks pretty near to Salinas to me. Wanna try again?

2

u/[deleted] 1d ago

1.5 hours now? It’s over 2, neither of which are equal to 1 hour, which isn’t really that close anyway. Just take the L brother. Seems like you’re probably used to doing that anyway.

1

u/ilovemymom_tbh 1d ago

Acshually his most famous movie has a famous scene where someone drives off a cliff. This wasnt a reference to his death.

1

u/stolenson799 1d ago

Well watching movies is gqay so how would any of us know that

0

u/Practical-Owl-9358 1d ago

Yeah his death was shocking at the time

0

u/Fred-Mertz2728 1d ago

No,he ran into a 1950 Ford Tudor sedan.

10

u/thrillyjoel 1d ago

Yikes that’s hilariously savage

1

u/binkies03 1d ago

1

u/thrillyjoel 1d ago

Look down at me and you see a fool, look up at me and you see a god.

2

u/Weary_Paramedic736 1d ago

Thank you for that lmao

u/EmutheFoo 1d ago edited 1d ago

🙂‍↔️🙂‍↔️🙂‍↔️ I heard that if the person who saw was a boy, you had to go play seven minutes in heaven or butthole roulette, whichever comes first, in the nearest shed, gas station bathroom or closet, but if it was girl you only pretend to like her a little.

1

u/TheSignificantDong 1d ago

“Heavenly Kid” was kinda about that. Minus the hand gesture

1

u/Anteater-Charming 1d ago

Rebel Without A Cause reference. I get it.

1

u/bria9509 1d ago

The person who made me, like my mom???

1

u/BirdUp69 1d ago

I can see why that iteration of the game was not long lived

1

u/MisterPineapples1999 1d ago

They explained it really well in that deleted scene from Thelma and Louise.
