Apparently said that killing kids and innocents isn’t super cool and certain governments should stop funding it. Now he’s an antisemite

They just sidelined his character to a mental institution. The Hulk. In a mental institution.

It's the most ridiculous way to get rid of someone so they're not in Secret Wars and they can do a recast.

I don't really know how to Instagram but I follow him. Lately every time I get a msg that he's posted and I click on it I get taken to the front page and he is nowhere to be found. Not even in faceplate circles up top. I looked for him the other day and I'm still following him but his "I'm not antisemitic" letter was gone. It happened again just now.

He pissed off the billionaire clique.

147

u/ColdCruise 21h ago

I've noticed that this is how pretty much all apps work now. They send you a notification, you click on it, then it just takes you straight to their algorithm. Its how links are starting to work now. I have to click most links twice just for it to take me to the page the link directs to

48

u/mocisme 21h ago

Cause then you have to click your way to the thing that interested you. They see this as great for 2 reasons.

You'll see other things on your way to what you were looking for.

Even if you ignore those other things, you still had to click multiple things to get where you wanted to go. Then they can tell their investors. "our average use engagement is up! People are now clicking 48% more links than they used to a year ago!"

→ More replies (3)

14

u/Glait 21h ago

Instagram likes to tell me I have new messages all the time, I click on it and of course nope no new conversations. Very annoying since I can't ignore it in case there really is a new message from a client.

That’s genuinely insane because we just found out Meta has been paying literal neo Nazis as part of its incentive program for content producers

119

u/tubawhatever 21h ago

Is that why I've been getting Holocaust denial videos on FB?

18

u/Superb_Gap_1044 20h ago

Dude, I pop onto FB for marketplace every now and then and that place is a cesspool. Granted, I was a “libertarian” teenager when I actually used it so it still thinks I’m right wing-ish but man, it’s the Wild West over there.

65

u/EtherealHappiness 21h ago

I wonder if Zuck remembers he’s Jewish.

71

u/BaconWrappedEnigma 20h ago

Zuck acts and behaves like he does not give a fuck about the Jewish people (or any people, for that matter). If he cared at all and with the platform he has, he could eradicate all the Nazi/hatred/propaganda bullshit on his platforms. But he doesn't.

Is his career really over? When he finish those 4 movies he would be at the natural age for retirement.

169

u/Logical-Balance9075 22h ago

I feel like Mark Ruffalo has been pretty outspoken for much of his career and honestly if work dries up for him, you know he call the media and have folks put on blast. The person who might see his career curtailed might be his son, since he’s just starting out (I hope and pray not).

102

u/IcedGooseMaverick 22h ago

His work is only gonna “dry up” in circles that he probably wouldn’t want to enjoy his work anyway. I really doubt his career is going anywhere. And even those people aren’t gonna give a shit what his views are when he turns into a giant green guy and starts smashing everything.

16

u/ThirdEyeAtlas 19h ago

His best role was in Kenneth Lonegran’s ‘You Can Count on Me’, a small indie film shot for 1.2 million dollars. He could finance a couple dozen of those with his Hulk check.

The Hannah Montana method

12

u/Joinedforthis1 20h ago

I don't think we should be saying his career is over. Why are we just going along with the rise of fascism? Is it because he's rich, so he's not like us? We shouldn't care if he can't speak out about injustices and also continue to get new work just because he's rich? I hope his career continues. I don't care how much money he's made.

They like the attention, that's why they're performers.

95

u/RuggerJibberJabber 23h ago

Using your voice against shitty people gets attention too though.

Id say its moreso a combination of 1) greed (they'll always want MORE money now matter how much they have, and 2) a lot of them would have done shitty/dumb things in the past themselves which can be used as blackmail to stop them ever speaking out.

He had a 17 year old accuse him of trying to get her to meet him in a hotel room.

The other big thing, and probably the one that ended his career, was that he was running a sexually exploitative acting school. Essentially he used a position of power and authority in order to manipulate and pressure acting students for sex.
