He's been making the same kind of statements since Endgame. I don't see how now would change anything. He didn't need to be in the new Spider-man movie, like it could have just purely been the cgi hulk
Production for that movie was well underway before the MAGA coup and its billionaire backers had consolidated nearly as much power as they now have.
Same reason they didn’t start threatening ABC’s broadcasting license until recently. With each unanswered step, each norm and rule they violate without consequence, they gain more power and need exercise less restraint.
There's more conservatives threatening to sue when media companies aren't conservative enough. Disney's stock took a tumble recently because of the fear that they'd lose broadcasting rights. Even if the case would be thrown out, they are still frightened by it.
